Finding winners with free tips for your Round 2 NRL multi bet

NRL Multi
A strange opening weekend of NRL action greeted punters in round one.

Pre-season premiership fancies Penrith failed miserably, South Sydney were woeful and the Wests Tigers showed why they could be a dark horse this season.

In round two we get an all-Queensland derby, a finals re-match between the Raiders and the Sharks, while the Storm will get another opportunity to show why they are the $7 standalone premiership favourites at Sportsbet.com.au.

It will be an interesting round of football.

All odds for the second week of the NRL Season were provided by Sportsbet.com.au.

Tips for the Round 2 NRL multi of the week:

Melbourne Storm to beat New Zealand Warriors ($1.73)

Brisbane Broncos to defeat North Queensland Cowboys ($1.85)

Gold Coast Titans to beat Newcastle Knights ($1.55)

Canberra Raiders to win against the Cronulla Sharks ($1.55)

Combined multi value: $7.68 @ Sportsbet.com.au

New Zealand Warriors vs. Melbourne Storm

Friday, March 10 from 6 pm AEDST Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand

A match across the Tasman opens the NRL multi this weekend as the Storm travel to Auckland to face the Warriors.

The Storm were sensational last weekend, outlasting the Bulldogs in a defensive masterclass. Melbourne conceded just six points for the entire match.

The Warriors cut it fine but got the job done against Newcastle on Sunday afternoon. It was a disappointing showing for a team who is expected to be pushing for a finals spot on 2017.

The Storm should be able to bring the points back on the plane and maintain their unbeaten run into a second week.

Melbourne Storm to win – $1.73

Brisbane Broncos vs. North Queensland Cowboys

Friday, March 10 from 8.05 pm AEDST, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

It is an all-Queensland affair on Friday night up north as the Broncos host the Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos were wonderful in their first match of the campaign, easily accounting for the reigning premiers Cronulla in the season opener.

The Cowboys came away from their first match of the season, winning a hard-hitting match up against the Canberra Raiders in Townsville.

It looms as the match of the round and we are taking the home side here. Their attack looks to have improved in 2017 and they should have too much firepower for the Cowboys at Suncorp.

Brisbane Broncos to win – $1.35

Newcastle Knights vs. Gold Coast Titans

Saturday, March 11 from 3 pm AEDST, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

Two teams that failed to register any points in the opening week meet on Saturday afternoon on the coast as the Knights host the Titans.

Newcastle were gallant in defeat last week against the Warriors, going down by just four points. It gave their fans hope that the Knights may not be the easy-beats they were last season.

The Titans are in early season turmoil. Word from the NRL world is that Jarryd Hayne is causing disruptions within the playing group.

When the sharks circle that is when clubs and players show what they are made of. We are expecting the Hayne Plane and his Titans to show the league exactly what they are about.

Gold Coast Titans to win – $1.55

Canberra Raiders vs. Cronulla Sharks

Saturday, March 11 from 7.30 pm AEDST, GIO Stadium, Canberra

A rematch of last year’s qualifying final rounds out the multi this weekend as the Raiders host the Sharks in the nation’s capital.

Canberra were beaten in their opening match up against the Cowboys but were far from disgraced in what looms as the toughest road trip in the NRL for season 2017.

The Sharks were bitterly disappointing in the season opener against the Broncos. The reigning premiers fought back hard after going down by three tries but never truly challenged the visitors.

The Raiders will be out for redemption after losing a qualifying final that they should have won. We are backing the Canberrans to bring our multi home in style.

Canberra Raiders to win – $1.55
