F1 USA Grand Prix 2024 racing odds & free betting predictions

F1 United Stated GP Preview

After a long month break, we are back with the Austin Grand Prix (GP) for Round 19 of the Formula 1 (F1) schedule.

It kicks off with Free Practice 1 at 3:30AM AEST on Saturday, October 19, while the race is scheduled for 5:00AM AEST Monday, October 21.

After the Singapore GP, F1 star Daniel Ricciardo was dropped from Red Bulls sister team Visa Cash App RB and was replaced by the 22-year-old New Zealander Liam Lawson, who will have all eyes on him this weekend.

He has raced in place of Ricciardo before but this is the first time Lawson has a full-time F1 Contract.

Can he live up to the hype, or will he be pushed into the shadows by Japanese teammate Yuki Tsunoda?

With Sergio Perez’ time in F1 still unknown both drivers could be fighting for a beloved Red Bull racing seat.

Formula 1 United States GP race preview

Singapore was another McLaren-owned race with Lando Norris taking out round 18 in dominant fashion, but with all teams coming back from the month long break with upgrades, could we see a new team dominate the last leg of this season?

McLaren are still the bookmaker favourites for the Constructors Championship, plummeting again to -1428.57 who look to have it all to lose in the last six rounds.

Whilst the Drivers Championship betting odds currently have Max Verstappen marked at -166.67 and Lando Norris just behind at +120.

Norris needs a very strong finish to these last six races if he is to win his first Drivers Championship with him currently trailing Verstappen by 52 points.

Lets take a look at what this means for punters

2024 Austin GP betting odds

Following Singapore there’s no surprise to see Lando Norris favourite here but $2 odds is a must take. Max Verstappen has shown shorter odds after a strong 2nd, last race but ultimately expected to be behind rival Norris yet again.

Liam Lawson (VCARB) Points Finish

Liam Lawson previously knocked Verstappen out of Q3 in his prior stint when replacing Ricciardo and will be eager to show his pace very quickly so he can secure a strong seat next year. In tests in the RB20, his pace was almost the same as Verstappen so clearly he has what it takes at the top. Look for a points finish at +350 with picklebet.
