F1 2025: China GP betting tips, odds & sprint race predictions
It is race week once again for the 2025 Formula 1 season, and we are in China this week for the first sprint weekend of the calendar
It starts with Free Practice 1 at 2:30pm AEDT on Friday, March 21, while the race is set for 6pm AEDT on Sunday, March 23.
Following the Australian Grand Prix, McLaren look to be very hard to beat with very strong qualifying and race pace.
After Ferrari’s woeful strategy and lacklustre pace, they will be looking to turn their season around here in China by scoring well in both the sprint and main race this weekend.
The first sprint race on the calendar allows teams to score extra points, with teams like Mercedes and Williams looking to capitalise on their hot momentum.

China GP 2025 betting predictions
Carlos Sainz (Williams) top-six finish
Unfortunately, the Australian GP left everyone with even more questions about Carlos Sainz after he spun out during safety-car conditions, and viewers are still left wondering what he can do in a Williams F1 car. Sainz showed great pace throughout the weekend, and he should be even hungrier for a good performance.

Oscar Piastri (McLaren) sprint race win
Oscar Piastri will be looking to prove himself in China, and after his recent performances in sprint races, you can expect him to be up there again. He was just off the pace from teammate Lando Norris during qualifying last weekend, and after being told not to chase Norris in Melbourne he will be gunning for pole position in both races this weekend.

Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) podium finish
Kimi Antonelli had a great outing in Australia, gaining 16 positions and taking home a well-earned P4. Without the damage he sustained during qualifying last weekend, he was lapping the same as teammate George Russell. Mercedes love a hot streak and are tied with McLaren in the standings, so they’ll be all guns blazing here in China.
