EPL Matchweek 10 betting tips, best odds & top value picks
The English Premier League carries on this Sunday and Monday (UK time) with five games on tap. Sunday will feature the game of the weekend as top-of-the-table Arsenal host a Liverpool team looking to bounce back from a slow start to their season. Here are our free betting picks for that game and more, with odds courtesy of Marantelli Bet.
West Ham United vs Fulham
West Ham had a miserable start to the season and are still in 15th place with eight points through seven games. However, they will hope to have turned a corner after a big 2-0 win against Wolves last weekend. This West Ham team is largely the same as that which finished seventh in the Premier League last year, so we should see the Irons get back to that level. Another cause for optimism is the recent emergence of summer signing Gianluca Scamacca, who scored his first Premier League goal last weekend. If he can continue ascending, this West Ham team will finally have a reliable striker to count on. We expect Scamacca to carry on his strong play and make the difference in this contest.
Fulham are no joke, however. The newly promoted side sits in eighth place with 11 points through eight games, and it has been on the back of the team’s offensive prowess. Aleksandar Mitrovic is an imposing striker who has a knack for finding the net; however, if you can stop him, Fulham become very beatable. They tend to struggle defensively and West Ham should take advantage of that. We expect the Hammers to use their physicality on defense to eliminate Mitrovic’s impact and come away with another big home win.

Arsenal vs Liverpool
Picking a side in this game is very difficult. Arsenal are top of the table and everything points to them carrying on their strong start to the season with another big win against a rival. That being said, it’s hard to trust Arsenal and we expect Liverpool to bounce back from a rough start to the season. Whether that happens in this game remains to be seen, but this matchup is full of intrigue regardless.
What we can confidently, however, is that this game will feature a lot of goals. Both of these teams boast a tremendous attack, and while Arsenal have been solid defensively, Liverpool have the firepower to break them down. On the other side of the field, Liverpool’s defense has struggled and will leak opportunities to a very solid Arsenal attack. We expect both of these teams to create a lot of chances and score. The over is a great pick in this game where either team could come away with a massive win.
Over 3 total goals
Gabriel Jesus anytime goalscorer
Gabriel Jesus is having a great season leading this Arsenal attack, and a lot of the Gunners’ success can be attributed to his arrival. The Brazilian forward has five goals through eight Premier League matches and the Arsenal attacking game plan flows through him. We expect him to have plenty of chances to score on a susceptible Liverpool defense, and we like his odds of putting one away. As things stand, Jesus to score at +155 is a great value bet.

Everton vs Manchester United
Both of these teams have pushed aside tough starts and are playing much better than they were at the commencement of the season. Everton have won their last two Premier League matches after not being able to win a single game from their first six fixtures. Still, this team is devoid of talent, and its wins over Southampton and West Ham may have been a little fluky. Manchester United are on a different level from those teams and it will be hard for Everton – despite their form and the home advantage – to keep up with their athleticism.
United had a horrible start to the campaign but then rattled off four straight wins before last weekend. That match saw the Red Devils lose 6-3 to Manchester City, but we are willing to ignore that result when it comes to this battle. City played out of their skin last weekend and were borderline unbeatable. This game should be much different for United. They should be able to break down a porous Everton defense and use their pace on the wings to create regular goalscoring chances. As long as United are able to finish some of those chances, they will win this game and bounce back from a tough defeat last time out.
