Da Big Hoss to miss Melbourne Cup
American St Leger winner Da Big Hoss has been ruled out of the Melbourne Cup and will instead head across the border for the Canadian International at Woodbine.
Connections of the horse told the Daily Racing Form the quarantine regulations and travel logistics to Australia had proved impractical.
The winner of the Canadian International on October 16 gains automatic entry to the Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita in early November.
