The 2018/19 Big Bash League season starts on December 19 and ends with the final on Sunday, February 17.
The fixture format has undergone further expansion this year, with a whopping 59 games – 12 more than last season – crammed into a two-month schedule.
Add in all the action from Australia’s Test series, ODIs and T20s, and you have one hell of a cricket season ahead.
After the round-robin fixture, the top four teams on the ladder will compete in semi-finals, with the two winning teams advancing to the Big Final where the highest-ranked team earns the right to host.

The Adelaide Strikers title defence begins with a trip to Brisbane on Wednesday, December 19.
Key dates include the Boxing Day grudge game with the Scorchers at Optus Stadium and the BBL07 final rematch with the Hurricanes on January 21.
No team in the BBL is playing more regional venues than the Strikers, who have dates in Geelong, Moe, Launceston and Alice Springs.

After just missing out on finals last season, Brisbane Heat are expected to go deep in BBL08.
They have a chance to set the tone early with an opening clash against the defending champions, Adelaide, at the Gabba on Wednesday, December 19.
The Heat have two home games at the Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium this season and will also make an appearance down at Geelong.

The Tassie team’s home and away campaign commences on the Gold Coast on January 22 and closes with a Thunder clash on February 9 at a venue yet to be determined.
Hobart will play not one, but two games in Launceston this season: one against the Scorchers (December 30) and another against the Strikers (January 31).

The Sixers were the best of the rest last term, finishing fifth on the ladder despite holding the second-best net run rate (+0.331) in the competition.
The men in pink don’t have to leave Sydney until December 29, when they head south to face the Renegades in their fourth game of the campaign.
The run to the finish is even better, with five consecutive fixtures at the SCG before closing out away to the Stars on February 10.
