Cranbourne Cup won’t be run this spring
The Cranbourne Cup will not be rescheduled during this year’s spring carnival after high winds forced the cancellation of the meeting.
Sunday’s Cranbourne Cup meeting was postponed after one race because of safety concerns and Racing Victoria announced on Monday it was exploring options to run the Cup and the Apache Cat Classic next autumn.
Paul Bloodworth from RV said most of the horses from the Cup had been nominated for the Moe Cup on Thursday or the Coongy Stakes on Saturday.
