BetEasy becomes NBA’s first wagering partner in Australia
BetEasy.com.au has sealed a landmark deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA), becoming the league’s first official wagering partner in Australia.
The agreement gives the online bookmaker access to league data, promotional content and various marketing tools, including trademarked logos and other imagery.

In exchange, the NBA will promote BetEasy exclusively on its Australian-facing digital platforms and social media feeds.
That will put the bookie front and centre with the millions who tune in daily to follow Aussie exports such as Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles, Patty Mills and Ben Simmons.
“Basketball is the most popular and fastest-growing sport for Australian wagering customers and our partnership with the NBA will allow us to offer the best NBA betting experience for our customers,” said Matthew Tripp, BetEasy CEO.
This is but the latest in a string of high-profile partnerships between the NBA and the global wagering industry in recent years.

The league already has deals with bookies in France, Mexico and Uruguay, while the recent legalisation of sports betting in the USA has opened the door for a variety of agreements in multiple states.
“Australia has set the standard for cooperation between leagues and sports betting operators, and we are excited to leverage the local and global expertise of BetEasy to create the best possible gaming experience for our passionate NBA fans in Australia,” said Scott Levy, NBA vice president and managing director of NBA Asia.
Launched in 2018 after the merger between CrownBet and William Hill Australia, BetEasy was bought out by the Stars Group last year and now has access to over 20 regulatory jurisdictions under its parent company’s licences.
