All Too Huiying aiming for Magic Millions
Talented colt All Too Huiying runs at the Gold Coast ahead of the Magic Millions carnival.
Talented colt All Too Huiying opens a campaign targeting the Magic Millions carnival when he gets accustomed to the lucrative meeting’s venue on the Gold Coast.
Trainer Gary Moore gave the three-year-old a freshen-up after he won the Listed Seppelt Wines Stakes (1800m) on his first trip to Melbourne early last month and on Saturday he returns over the same distance.
All Too Huiying had no issues adapting to Flemington and Moore believes time spent at his recently-opened Gold Coast satellite stable will also ease this transition.
“We sent him up early and he galloped six furlongs on Tuesday. He’s worked really well,” Moore said.
All Too Huiying lines up in the QTIS 3YO Handicap, the first phase of a program geared to the Magic Millions Trophy (2200m) on January 13.
“He’s got a bit of weight, but he’s a big horse. I think he’s got a probably got bit more class than the horses he’s going to be running up against,” Moore said.
Michael Walker retains the ride after guiding All Too Huiying to his first black-type victory and with 59.5kg, they give their rivals at least a 5.5kg advantage.
Moore said his high opinion of All Too Huiying was vindicated at Flemington, where he shaded Black Sail by a short neck.
“He’s a laid-back horse and what he did at Flemington was game. He was very impressive. He battled and showed good drive,” he said.
Moore opened five boxes on the Gold Coast in October to give his Magic Millions contenders a smoother preparation.
Paquirri has an opportunity to qualify for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) with a win in the QTIS 2YO Handicap (900m) on Saturday while three-year-old colt Mr Kylin is being aimed at the Magic Millions Maiden (1200m).
