The Collingwood Magpies are looking for their eighth consecutive victory this Saturday when they head to Adelaide Oval to take on the Adelaide Crows.

Brodie Grundy and Jordan De Goey are still a week or so away from returning for the Pies, while Taylor Adams went down with concussion last weekend and Darcy Moore is touch and go.

Key matchup: Taylor Walker vs Jamie Elliott

Taylor Walker and Jamie Elliott may be two very different types of players for the Crows and Magpies, but they each are the most experienced forward for their sides. Elliott has not been the picture of health throughout his career, but he is worth his weight in gold when he gets on the park.

The Crows have targeted Tex Walker inside 50 for a majority of their entries, which has seen the powerful forward kick 31 goals thus far this season. Jamie Elliott is not the centrepiece in the Collingwood forward line, yet he still manages to consistently hit the scoreboard. This important match will draw out the best players for each side, leading to both these star forwards having an impact on the scoreboard.

Despite the Crows failing to beat the Pies at home since 2016, we think they are a hot chance to take home the chocolates this week. The Magpies have to eventually run out of gas, as their side is filled with youngsters and veterans.
