Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers BBL13 preview

The Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers will play their second Big Bash League match in as many days when they clash at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.

These two sides last met on Wednesday where Laurie Evans demolished the Strikers bowling attack, finishing with 85 runs from just 28 balls, smashing seven 4s and seven 6s along the way. Matt Short fought hard, hitting 74 from 44, but he lacked batting partners to assist him with the chase.

Before their match on Wednesday, the Perth Scorchers have begun their BBL13 season without suffering a loss as they look to win their third BBL title in a row. Excluding their ‘no result’ match against the Renegades in Geelong, the Scorchers have secured incredibly dominant seven and nine-wicket wins over the Stars and Hurricanes.

On the other side of the field, the Adelaide Strikers have won one of their two games at Adelaide Oval, with their latest match being a loss to the Stars on New Year’s Eve led by captain Glenn Maxwell and all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Beau Webster.
