Abel Tasman wins Kentucky Oaks

The Bob Baffert-trained Abel Tasman has come from last to win the Kentucky Oaks for the China Horse Club.

The filly beat Daddys Lil Darling by 1-1/4 lengths after charging home from last under Mike Smith in Friday’s (Saturday AEST) marquee event at Churchill Downs.

The race was run on a wet track with Abel Tasman (9-1) running the 1-1/8 miles (1800m) in 1min 51.62seconds.
