A-League Round 4 odds, multi tips and betting predictions
The 2019/20 A-League season has already thrown up a few surprises, so the question is: what does Round 4 have in store? Let’s take a look at this week’s match-ups as well as the best bets and the latest odds on offer at our top-ranked A-League betting sites.
Sydney FC vs Newcastle Jets
7:30pm AEDT Friday, November 1 at Leichhardt Oval, Sydney
Sydney FC lost their perfect record with last week’s derby defeat to Wanderers, while the Newcastle Jets are still look for their first win of the season after losing 2-1 to Adelaide United. The Sky Blues are heavy favourites at $1.62 with Sportsbet to win at their temporary home in Leichhardt, with Newcastle ($5) and the draw ($4.20) both at long odds.
Western Sydney Wanderers vs Brisbane Roar
5pm AEDT Saturday, November 2 at Bankwest Stadium, Parramatta
With three wins from three, Western Sydney are enjoying their best-ever start to an A-League campaign. Having dispatched the Victory and Sydney, the league leaders will fancy their chances against a winless Brisbane Roar outfit. Wanderers are well liked on $1.95 at Ladbrokes, with the Roar out at $3.50 and the draw offering $3.40.
Melbourne Victory vs Western United
7:30pm AEDT Saturday, November 2 at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
The Victory broke their duck with a 1-0 win over Brisbane, but their tally of two goals in three games is cause for concern. Western United are fresh off their first defeat in A-League history and will be determined to bounce back. This is the tightest match-up of the round, with the Victory on $2.22 at Neds, United on $3.10 and the draw paying $3.40.

Melbourne City vs Wellington Phoenix
4pm AEDT Sunday, November 3 at AAMI Park, Melbourne
Only three teams remain undefeated this season, and Melbourne City are one of them. Wellington, meanwhile, are propping up the table after starting their campaign with three consecutive defeats. Online bookmakers are all over City at $1.57 with Palmerbet, while the Phoenix ($6) and the draw ($4) are giving up big odds.
Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners
3pm AWST Sunday, November 3 at HBF Park, Perth
The Glory are yet to hit their stride, but they remain unbeaten after last week’s 2-1 win in Wellington. The Mariners have shown plenty of fight in the opening three weeks of the season, yet they are still without a win. With Perth at $1.45, Central Coast at $7.50 and the draw at $4.50 over on Sportsbet, this is the most lopsided fixture of the weekend.
A-League Round 4 multi bet tips
- Sydney FC win/both teams score
- Melbourne City to win
- Perth Glory -1 handicap
A-League multi odds = $10.12 at Bet365
While this week’s A-League multi bet is another short and sweet affair, it is a little bolder than previous editions. Sydney are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, which opens the door for Newcastle to make a game of it. There is always risk in backing a side to win by two clear goals, but the Glory should fancy their chances at home to the Mariners. The surest of the lot is City vs Phoenix, where the hosts should secure a comfortable win.
