A-League Round 15 free soccer tips & best odds | February 2-4

As we pass the halfway point of the A-League season, the competition continues this weekend with six matches of Australian soccer action. Here are our tips and previews for Round 15 of the 2023/24 A League Men season:

Brisbane Roar vs Wellington Phoenix preview

Friday, February 2 – 6:30pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium

Sitting alone at the top of the table and on a four-match unbeaten streak, the Wellington Phoenix should be a tough side to beat as they head to Brisbane. With the Roar losing seven of their past eight matches, it is hard to see them turning their form around against the top team. Facing a trip across the Tasman, the Phoenix come over as the betting underdog, which offers great value with the leading bookmakers.

Perth Glory vs Melbourne City preview

Friday, February 2 – 6:45pm AWST – HBF Park

After losing their previous two matches, Melbourne City returned to form last weekend with a hard-fought win over Adelaide at home. Looking to cement their spot in the top six, City face a tough away trip to face the 11th-placed Perth Glory. Despite their poor position on the table, Perth have earned four points from their last two matches as they look to revitalise their season. However, the visitors should be too good here, and with the odds skewed in their favour look to add the total goals between two of the highest-scoring sides in the A-League.

Western United vs Sydney FC preview

Saturday, February 3 – 5:00pm AEDT – North Hobart Oval

Sat dead last with half as many goals as the next worst attack, Western United are having a horror season. This weekend, they welcome the seventh-placed Sydney FC, who have lost just one of their past six matches. Coming off a 1-1 draw with ten men against Melbourne Victory last weekend, Sydney FC have the top six in sight and should be confident of holding out United here.

Newcastle Jets vs Melbourne Victory preview

Saturday, February 3 – 6:00pm AEDT – McDonald Jones Stadium

Locked in a title race with the Phoenix, Melbourne United will be disappointed as they had their third consecutive 1-1 draw last weekend. Still undefeated, Victory needs to win this weekend to keep the pressure on at the top. Facing a Jets side that has just one win from their last five, back Victory to keep their stellar run alive with a win on the road.

Adelaide United vs Central Coast Mariners preview

Saturday, February 3 – 7:15pm ACDT – Coopers Stadium

Since losing their first four matches of the soccer season, the Central Coast Mariners have turned their season around, as they have been undefeated ever since. Working their way up to third in the table, they have also become the highest-scoring side in the A-League alongside their opposition this weekend, Adelaide United. With just one win from their past five, it is hard to back the home side, but expect plenty of goals in this one as the Mariners continue their run of form.

Macarthur FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers preview

Sunday, February 4 – 5:00pm AEDT – Campbelltown Sports Stadium

The most inconsistent side in the A-League right now, the Western Sydney Wanderers, have alternated wins and losses for the past eight rounds. In a Western Sydney Derby this weekend, they face Macarthur FC, who sit just two points below them on the table. Undefeated in their last five, Macarthur FC should come in as favourites, but with the defensive quality of the visitors, we are backing them to get the job done.
