In the final round of the 2023/24 A-League season, it is all to play for heading into the finals. Here are our free soccer betting tips for every match of round 26.
Brisbane Roar vs Adelaide United
Friday, April 26 – 7:45pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium
The only match without finals implications this weekend, Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United are fighting it out for eighth spot. On the road, United are the more in-form side, with just one loss from their past five matches, whereas Brisbane have just one win in their past six. United are also unbeaten in their past four at Suncorp Stadium, so take them as slight underdogs.
Adelaide United to win
Newcastle Jets vs Central Coast Mariners
Saturday, April 27 – 5:15pm AEST – McDonald Jones Stadium
After securing their place in the AFC Cup Final during the week, the Central Coast Mariners now shift their focus back to the A-League, where they sit just one point behind first place with a game in hand. Heading up to road to place the Newcastle Jets in the F3 Derby, they enter as strong favourites given their opponent has nothing to play for. As such, back the visitors to continue their run of five matches unbeaten.
Central Coast Mariners to win
Wellington Phoenix vs Macarthur FC
Saturday, April 27 – 7:15pm NZDT – Sky Stadium
Holding a one-point lead in the race for the Premier’s Plate, Wellington Phoenix face a tough test against an in-form Macarthur FC. On a run of consecutive wins, the visitors can finish as high as third on the table if other results can go their way. However, their last win in New Zealand came over three years ago and given the Phoenix’s form, it is hard to bet against them as favourites with the top A-League bookmakers.
Wellington Phoenix to win
Melbourne Victory vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, April 27 – 7:45pm AEST – AAMI Park
Sitting two points outside the finals positions, the pressure is on the Wanderers to turn their form around and break their run of three straight losses. Playing before Melbourne City, they have the chance to put the pressure on but face a tough match on the road against the third-placed Melbourne Victory. With a home final already secured, Victory don’t really have anything to play for, but looking to carry form into the finals this should be a close match.
Draw
Sydney FC vs Perth Glory
Sunday, April 28 – 3pm AEST – Allianz Stadium
If Macarthur FC lose on Saturday, then Sydney FC can secure a home final with a win. Facing the last-placed Perth Glory, they are heavy favourites with top online bookmakers, in a match they should comfortably win. With two goals in his past three matches, watch out for striker Fabio Gomes to lead the way for Sydney FC.

Melbourne City vs Western United
Sunday, April 28 – 3pm AEST – AAMI Park
With a potential finals spot on the line, Melbourne City host Western United as strong favourites with the A-League oddsmakers. On a run of two straight victories, they should be far too strong for their 11th-placed cross-town rivals. With six goals in his past six matches, City midfielder Tolgay Arslan has been in excellent form and offers great value to score again.
