2018/19 A-League soccer betting

PERTH Glory are setting the early pace in the 2018/19 A-League season.

The men in purple are undefeated under new boss Tony Popovic, with three wins and a draw from their first four games.

Sydney FC are also yet to suffer a loss, while the two Melbourne clubs round out a familiar-looking top four.

Brisbane Roar, Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets will be hoping for better fortunes after the international break, as all three are yet to notch a win.

Brisbane Roar vs. Melbourne City

6:50pm AEST Saturday, November 24 at Suncorp Stadium

Roar $2.88
Draw $3.50
City $2.25

Although Brisbane are yet to taste victory this season, three of their four games have ended in draws.

The last of those was a 2-2 result against Western Sydney Wanderers, where the Roar rallied well to halve the points after conceding two early goals.

They may need to show more of that fighting spirit against a Melbourne City outfit that boasts a significant attacking threat.

Bruno Fornaroli opened his account last time out in the 2-0 win over Wellington Phoenix, while Belgian defender Ritchie De Laet has netted twice in four weeks.

Brisbane are better than their record suggests, but City should have the top-end talent to get the job done.

Sydney FC vs. Melbourne Victory

5pm AEDT Sunday, November 25 at Jubilee Stadium

Sydney $2
Draw $3.60
Victory $3.40

Sydney are tracking well despite some sluggish spells in the opening few weeks of the campaign.

Coach Steve Corica must be loving the early form of English import Adam Le Fondre, who has scored four times in as many games.

His chief rival for signing of the season is Keisuke Honda, who has two goals and looks a million bucks at the head of the Victory midfield.

Melbourne were just finding their groove when the break hit, so the question is whether they can pick up where they left off after smashing Central Coast 4-1.

Kevin Muscat’s men are dangerous anywhere at their best, but the Sky Blues are tough to beat at home.

Perth Glory vs. Central Coast Mariners

4pm AWST Sunday, November 25 at NIB Stadium

Glory $1.45
Draw $4.33
Mariners $6.50

After years of failing to deliver on considerable promise, the Glory are looking like a genuine title threat this season.

Andy Keogh has starred up top with four goals, while opposition teams are having real trouble with the wingback pairing of Jason Davidson and Ivan Franjic.

What is there to say about the Mariners?

After a couple of fighting draws to start the season, Mike Mulvey’s men have conceded seven goals to one in the their last two outings.

Over in WA, this is Perth’s game to lose.
