A-League 2021/22 Matchweek 14 betting tips & top odds

After months of postponements and catchup games, the A-League fixture is starting to take on a familiar shape once again as we enter Matchweek 14 of the 2021/22 season.

Following Thursday’s makeup match between the Central Coast Mariners and Macarthur FC, all 12 teams will feature in a regulation six-game weekend – the first since before Christmas.

Sydney FC vs Western United

Saturday, February 12 at 7:45pm AEDT – Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney

This top-three clash between Sydney FC and Western United will be the must-watch match of the week, as the two finals contenders are both in good form and should provide a cracking contest. Sydney has scored seven goals in its last three contests, while United has kept two clean sheets. We think the potent Sydney FC attack will outmuscle the tight Western United defence on this occasion.

Melbourne Victory vs Newcastle Jets

Saturday, February 12 at 7:45pm AEDT – AAMI Park, Melbourne

The Newcastle Jets were convincingly beaten by Melbourne City in their most recent match, going down 4-2 on their home turf. Melbourne Victory has been in a form slump of late, winning just one of its last four matches, but we expect that will change this Saturday night. Central Coast Mariners vs Perth Glory

Sunday, February 13 at 5:45pm AEDT – Central Coast Stadium, Gosford

Sunday’s double-header kicks off with the Central Coast Mariners coming off a two-day break to take on the bottom-placed Perth Glory. The result of this match could depend on the fitness of the Mariners after their clash against Macarthur FC earlier in the week, but at this stage we see the home side winning both contests.

Brisbane Roar vs Macarthur FC

Sunday, February 13 at 6:45pm AEDT – Moreton Daily Stadium, Brisbane

This will be the third game Macarthur FC plays in eight days, as they have been featured heavily amongst the condensed fixture. Brisbane Roar has lost the most games so far during the 2021/22 A-League season, going down in five of its nine contests and winning just two. We cannot trust Brisbane to knock off the sixth-placed Macarthur, even on its home deck.
