The Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats will tussle over top spot in the 2019 AFL Premiership standings in a Saturday afternoon blockbuster.
The battle of the felines will take place at the Gabba, which will be packed out with the Brisbane faithful and a smattering of die-hard Geelong supporters.
If you were to bet back in March that the Cats and Lions would be sitting first and second on the ladder coming into round 22, you would be a very wealthy punter.

The Lions ($1.80 at Sportsbet) have won their last eight matches and will enter as narrow favourites over the top-placed Cats, who are only a few cents behind at $2.
With the race for a top-two finish heating up between the Cats, Lions, Eagles and Tigers, this looms as one of the most import games of the year.
Chris Scott’s Cats were able to hold the Kangaroos to their lowest-ever recorded score last week, but Charlie Cameron and the dynamic Lions will give the Geelong defence a different kind of test altogether.
The battle between young stopper Harris Andrews and veteran forward Tom Hawkins will also be one to keep an eye on.
Brisbane Lions vs Geelong Cats Round 22 player disposal odds
Mitch Robinson to get 25 disposals @ $2.63 with Sportsbet
Since the loss to the Blues back in round 12, Robinson has been one of the best performing players for the Lions, which is no mean feat considering their abundance of talent. The former Carlton enforcer has accrued over 25 disposals in two of his last three matches, with a 21-kick game against the Hawks a highlight.
Mitch Duncan to get 25 disposals @ $1.62 with Sportsbet
They call him Mr Consistent at the Cattery, and with good reason. Duncan has been playing the same role for the Cats since the early ’10s and has been pulling it off with ease. His precision with the ball means the Cats want to let him kick as often as possible. Mitch played game 200 last week and had 27 touches.
Brisbane Lions vs Geelong Cats Round 22 goalkicking tips
Lincoln McCarthy to kick two goals
Before switching colours over to the Lions this season, McCarthy had an interrupted career at Geelong, where he found it difficult to get on the park. Now that he can face his old mates, the clever forward will want to hit the scoreboard and stick it to the Cats.
Luke Dahlhaus to kick a goal
Dahlhaus plays a defensive role in the forward half for the Cats, using his pressure on the ball carrier to create opportunities for himself and others. The Lions have a few younger players in the back half that Dahlhaus will look to target. He should find space and kick one goal this weekend.
Brisbane Lions vs Geelong Cats Round 22 total points betting
Total match points under 170.5 @ $1.88 with Sportsbet
Although the Lions kicked a massive 144 points last week, we think this game will be more defensive than offensive. The Cats will look to block the corridor as much as possible and the Lions enjoy going down the line. The slower play will rely on big marks and individual moments, which will result in a low-scoring affair.
Brisbane vs Geelong AFL Round 22 predictions
Match result: Brisbane Lions to win @ $1.80 with Sportsbet
Line betting: Brisbane Lions -3.5 @ $1.90
We are tipping the Lions to make it nine wins in a row. The experience of Luke Hodge and Daniel Rich in the back half will get them over the line against the tough Cats.
