2017 NRL All Star clash betting – Jarryd Hayne ruled out

Jarryd Hayne to miss NRL All Star game
THE merry-go-round that is the NRL All Star roster has taken yet another turn in the lead-up up to Friday’s clash in Newcastle.

Gold Coast Titans star Jarryd Hayne – who is rumoured to be plotting a move to French rugby – is out of the World All Stars team due to injury, joining Sosaia Feki and Joseph Leilua on the sidelines.

Gerard Beale, Jarrod Croker and Chris McQueen have been called in as replacements.

Those changes follow a slew of earlier alterations to both squads.

The NRL announced last week that Mitch Aubusson, Damien Cook, Akuila Uate and Paul Vaughan would replace the injured quartet of Konrad Hurrell, Nate Myles, Adam Reynolds and Jake Trebojovic in the World team.

The Indigenous All Stars have had to make some key changes as well.

Out are Adam Elliott and Sam Thaiday, both injured, while Will Chambers has taken leave for the birth of his first child.

Coming in for that trio are Parramatta Eels fullback Bevan French, Newcastle Knights utility Tyrone Roberts and Sydney Roosters second-rower Chris Smith.

The internationals have the bragging rights after winning 12-8 at Suncorp Stadium last year, but punters are backing a reversal in the Hunter Valley.

The Indigenous All Stars have shortened to $1.42 in the match betting at Sportsbet.com.au, with the World team paying $2.90 odds for the win.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm AEDT on Friday, February 10 at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.
