Morocco vs Portugal tip

Morocco have been the surprise of the tournament to this point and they have truly been a great team. While they beat a good Spain team to advance to this point, it’s hard to see them doing it again. Although Morocco were able to create chances, they essentially sat back and played for penalties against Spain. In this game, that strategy won’t work. Portugal have more pure finishers than the Spanish team and if Morocco tries to park the bus, Portugal should punish them. Take Portugal to follow up their six goal performance with another win.

Portugal goal-scorer tip: Goncalo Ramos

Portugal’s best player in their round of 16 win against Switzerland was their young striker, Goncalo Ramos. He was able to bag a hat trick and establish himself as an x-factor. If he starts up top again, he should score again. This Portuguese side has an abundance of skilful wingers and midfielders who can set him up and while Morocco’s defence has held up, they haven’t played a team with this much talent up top. This is going to be a tight game but we like Ramos to stay in form and score another goal on the world’s biggest stage.

England vs France quarter-final prediction

This is the marquee game of the weekend and it should be a great game. England have a great team with depth in every position but France have the top-end talent to control this game. And we are taking the team with Mbappe. No one has proven they have the ability to slow down Mbappe throughout the World Cup and he should once again be the best player on the pitch. While the PSG striker is France’s best player, they also have a talented midfield that should be able to control the game. Of all three phases, England’s biggest weakness is their midfield and we believe the French will exploit that and come away with a huge win.

France goal-scorer pick: Kylian Mbappe Anytime Goalscorer

Well, because we think France go through on Mbappe’s back, it makes sense to take him to score a goal. And at +195, this is a great bet. Mbappe has five goals in this tournament already and his dominance seems inevitable. He consistently creates opportunities for himself in every game and is truly unguardable. England have a talented defence but they do not have anyone with the pace necessary to shut down Mbappe. We also don’t think England will sit back in this game so there should be plenty of chances for Mbappe to flash his pace on the counter attack. Also, he takes penalties for France so there is added value in that. At +163, this is our favorite bet on the board and the best player in the world should only add to his legend in this contest.
