Weekend Jan 13-15 multi tips for Magic Millions, ODI and EPL
THERE was heart-break for weekend multi enthusiasts last week after the Hobart Hurricanes failed to beat the Thunder to bring our multi home.
Despite getting our stakes back, the loss left a bitter taste in our mouth, but we are climbing straight back on the horse this week.
The English Premier League returns, the Magic Millions takes place on the weekend, the A-League continues and the One Day International series kicks off on Friday night.
It is a hectic weekend of sport and we would not have it any other way.
All odds for this weekend of action were provided by Sportsbet.com.au, who is offering prospective clients a magnificent inducement to sign up.
New customers can get their first bet at Sportsbet matched up to the value of $501.
Selections for the January 13-15 weekend multi:
Australia to beat Pakistan in the first ODI ($1.21)
Ours To Keep to place in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic ($2.15)
Sydney FC to beat Western Sydney Wanderers ($1.67)
Tottenham to beat West Brom ($1.30)
Combined multi value: $10.76 @ Sportsbet.com.au
Australia vs Pakistan
Friday, January 7 from 2.40 pm AEDST GABBA, Brisbane
The first One Day International between the Aussies and Pakistan opens our weekend multi on Friday.
The Australians dominated the visitors for their three test series, now they return to the format they have ruled for over two years. The Green and Gold are the number one ranked team in the world while Pakistan is a further seven spots below.
The Aussies are looking to extend their winning run against Pakistan to six straight matches. The home side has lost just once to the visitors since 2009.
Unless something extraordinary happens the Aussies maintain their dominance over Pakistan to record their first ODI win of the year.
Australia to win – $1.21
Magic Millions 2yo Classic
Saturday, January 14 from 4.55 pm AEDST, Gold Coast Racecourse
The Magic Millions 2yo Classic is the second leg of our multi and we are looking to an unbeaten colt to continue its spectacular run of form intact.
Ours To Keep has dominated its last three runs and surprisingly the two-year-old opened at double figure odds before the barrier draw. After getting gate 4 the colt came right in, but still represents great value to place.
We are backing the Browne runner to get itself in the placings to keep our multi rolling.
Ours To Keep to place – $2.15
Sydney FC vs. Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, January 14 from 7.50 pm AEDST, Allianz Stadium, Sydney
The battle of the bridge is the third leg of our weekend multi.
The Sky Blues are unbeaten in the league and have dominated the Wanderers over the years.
Sydney FC is undefeated against the Western Sydney Wanderers across the last two years. Across six matches the Sky Blues have dropped points just twice.
It is hard to see how the winning run does not continue. Sydney are a step above their cross-town rivals.
Sydney FC to win – $1.67
Tottenham vs. West Brom
Saturday, January 14 from 11.30 pm AEDST White Hart Lane, London
The top-four Spurs face the Baggies in the final leg of our multi and we are backing Tottenham to bring us home.
Last time out the Spurs snapped Chelsea’s incredible winning run to keep themselves in contention for the title.
West Brom are aiming to win three games in a row for the first time this season. The Baggies have played above expectations this campaign and look to be a top half of the table team.
Hard to see how the Baggies maintain their winning run however. The Spurs should be too strong across the board.
