The best from Twitter after round 7 of the 2017 AFL season
WHAT a weekend of upsets it was in the AFL.
Nearly every game in round seven showcased an underdog victory, throwing everybody’s tips into disarray.
Anyone who topped their tipping this round should immediately be drug tested by their employer.

We took a look two of the bigger results from the weekend’s action and let the Twittersphere do the talking, and the fans did not let us down.
Suns stun Cats to breathe new life in finals race
In a round of upsets, this one could potentially have been the most unlikely.
The Cats were expected to bounce back in emphatic fashion against the Suns at Metricon Stadium after their poor performance against Collingwood the week before, but things did not go according to plan.
The Cats never truly got into the contest, and their fans were not happy.

While supporters of other teams revelled in the fact that the 25-point win saw Chris Scott lose his second game in a row since he secured a contract extension as the Geelong coach.
Even the Cat fans could not help but dig the boots in to Scott.
Again Scott proving he has no plan B, seriously earn ya pay……we are very weak at the ball ? #AFLSunsCats

One astute Twitter user even took a cheeky swipe at the Cats, Gary Ablett and the AFL in one glorious tweet.
Ablett, Dangerfield and Selwood in the one side? We appreciate the humour but shudder to think what could happen if the ‘Big Three’ materialises. Best to keep that in the hypothetical realm.
St Kilda record huge win on Friday night over the Giants
It was billed as a huge game for both clubs given their lack of Friday night fixtures, but it was the Saints who relished the spotlight.
St Kilda overran the much more fancied GWS in the last quarter to run out 23-point winners, and one Twitter poll got the result hilariously wrong. Hopefully it was not the owner of the account that was the only voter.
The Saints fans were not strong in numbers, but they were fierce at their opponents, booing premiership star Heath Shaw every time he touched the ball.
One Collingwood fan was quick to rebuke the home side’s castigation of a former favourite son.

The criticism of the St Kilda fans did not stop there.
One Twitter user could not resist having a dig at the Saints fans and the strong rumour that Fremantle star Nat Fyfe’s signature is imminent.
I don’t think Nat Fyfe will want to go to the Saints when they have such electric atmosphere at a big game #AFLSaintsGiants pic.twitter.com/xLzMIDDyIG

We say give the Saints a break. For a downtrodden team they deserve to relish a good Friday night win.
