Queensland vs. NSW Origin 3 try scorer and betting tips
Wednesday, July 12 2017 – 7:30pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
GAME three of a tightly contested Origin series is just around the corner and the bitter battle between the states is about to be settled.
Will it be the Maroons on home soil who complete the miraculous comeback after fighting their way back from the brink or can the Blues regroup after their game two capitulation to win on the road?
There are a number of facets to this contest and variables that make it hard to pick a winner in this one, so we have elected to piece together a try scorer market for Wednesday’s all-important decider.
We are expecting a player from either side to continue their stellar try scoring form on Wednesday night, while a couple of thoroughbreds who know how to control a game are also expected to get their name on the scorer’s sheet in what should be a fascinating contest.
Queensland Maroons Try Scorer Markets
Dane Gagai
The Novacastrian superstar lit up game two of Origin just over a fortnight ago in Sydney and the 26-year-old is again set to be a pivotal player in the decider on Wednesday night.
The soon-to-be Rabbitoh made a decisive contribution in game two, scoring two tries including the game winner late in the contest.
Dane Gagai is at the +1100 mark at Sportsbet.com.au to score two tries in game III.
It will be all hands on deck for the Maroons on Wednesday if they are to tip out the Blues and record a famous victory, so another big performance will be expected from Gagai throughout game three.
Heaven help the Blues if the Mackay product puts in a similar performance on Wednesday night.

Cooper Cronk
Unfortunately his representative teammate at national and state level JT will not get the send off he deserves, but Storm superstar Cooper Cronk, playing in what could be his last-ever Origin series, will get the chance to bow out in style.
It is almost hard to fathom, but Cronk has scored just three tries as a Maroon across 21 games. This is a direct contrast to his sparkling record of 16 tries from 33 appearances as a Kangaroo.
We think the Maroons will be looking to get Cronk across the line to send the him off the right way, and the gun’s pedigree cannot be denied. Given the chance, Cronk will take it.

New South Wales Try Scorer Markets
James Tedesco
The man they call Teddy was arguably the most influential player on the ground during game two prior to his head knock, as the live-betting market on the Man of the Match honours would attest to.
After starting the game as an $8 chance at WilliamHill.com.au to win man of the match, Tedesco firmed into even-money before he was forced from the field to undergo a concussion test.
He returned to the field but by then the damage had been done, but the explosive playmaker gets his chance to make amends for the Blues in game three.
The normally prolific scorer is yet to cross the chalk in the 2017 Origin series, and we think that will change on Wednesday night.
For the Blues to get up they will need a huge performance from the Wests dynamo.

Mitchell Pearce
Few men endure the weight of expectation quite like Rooster Mitchell Pearce does at Origin level. The 28-year-old is invariably the Blues’ whipping boy when things go wrong, but there is no denying he is one of the more dangerous players on the field at any given moment.
Despite the constant criticism, Pearce has had a strong series to date, and the halfback can also enter rarefied air on Wednesday night.
A try in game three would see Pearce score in each game of the 2017 series, and there is no reason to think the scoring will dry up in the decider. The value on Pearce is also too hard to ignore.
