South East Melbourne Phoenix: $2.35 with BetEasy
Sydney Kings: $1.67 with Sportsbet
In what could be considered one of the matchups of the 2019-20 NBL season so far, the South East Melbourne Phoenix will host the top-of-the-table Sydney Kings at Melbourne Arena this Saturday.
Both teams are in hot contention for the 2019-20 championship, with the Kings priced at $2.80 with Sportsbet and the Phoenix at $7 for the title.
The Kings have been labelled the team to beat this season, having only lost once in 10 games. That defeat came against Melbourne United at Melbourne Arena, where they will play this weekend.

One area where the Kings excel is production off the bench, where they can often tear apart weaker opposition, but the Phoenix is also a well-spread squad with multiple scorers.
Jae’Sean Tate is having an excellent debut season for the Kings and put up a game-high 24 points against the Illawarra Hawks in the Kings’ most recent match.
Look out for Phoenix point guard John Roberson, who averages nearly 19 points per game and six assists per match. It will be interesting to see if he can match Casper Ware for the Kings.
South East Melbourne Phoenix vs Sydney Kings betting tips
Total match points over 188.5 @ $1.85 with BetEasy
Both teams have the capacity to score very quickly and tally huge totals. SE Melbourne as scored over 100 points four times already this season, while the Kings’ last three road matches have all eclipsed 95 points – including a 104-point effort at Melbourne Arena.
Casper Ware to score 20+ points
The city of Melbourne is not unfamiliar to Casper Ware, who plied his craft for Melbourne United from 2016-2019. The guard has been a solid contributor for the Kings all season long and will not disappoint when he faces the Phoenix. Averaging 30 minutes per match, Ware will have plenty of opportunities to score the ball.
SE Melbourne Phoenix half-time/Sydney Kings full-time @ $6.80 with BetEasy
South East Melbourne will have the crowd behind it from the tip off, which will give the players early confidence. The Kings are yet to win a match at Melbourne Arena this season, going down to the United boys a few rounds ago when they fell apart in the second half. We believe the script will be flipped and they will be the ones to come back and win in the last quarter.
