NRL Round 13 betting preview, free tips & predictions
Round 13 of the 2025 NRL season is back to a near-full slate, with State of Origin absences still shaping some matchups. Here are our top NRL betting tips for this week’s action.
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Newcastle Knights
Friday, 30 May – 8pm AEST – Jubilee Stadium, Sydney
The Dragons will be boosted by the return of Valentine Holmes and Jaydn Su’A, while the Knights aim to build momentum after downing Penrith last week. Newcastle fullback Kalyn Ponga will look to back up from Origin, and the Knights look to have the advantage heading into this matchup.
Newcastle Knights to win
Gold Coast Titans vs Melbourne Storm
Saturday, 31 May – 3pm AEST – Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast
The Titans are struggling to defend their line and face a ruthless Storm team with Ryan Papenhuyzen and Jahrome Hughes in top form. Melbourne’s edge attack looks set to feast on a fragile Gold Coast defence, with Tino Fa’asuamaleaui expected to miss the game after a brutal Origin clash. With a big gap in discipline and execution, this could be over by halftime.
Melbourne Storm by 13+ points
North Queensland Cowboys vs Wests Tigers
Saturday, 31 May – 5:30pm AEST – Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville
The Cowboys are flying at home and have the edge in both form and firepower. The Tigers are disjointed and reeling from off-field distractions. Tom Dearden and Scott Drinkwater should steer the Cowboys to a comfortable win.
North Queensland Cowboys by 13+ points
Manly Sea Eagles vs Brisbane Broncos
Saturday, 31 May – 7:35pm AEST – 4 Pines Park, Sydney
Manly are understrength and out of sync, while Brisbane are stacked with Origin-calibre class across the park. Broncos guns Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh can break open the Sea Eagles’ tired defensive lines. Manly’s depth has been tested all year, and this is another uphill task.
Brisbane Broncos by 13+ points
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs New Zealand Warriors
Sunday, 1 June – 2pm AEST – Accor Stadium, Sydney
The Rabbitohs are showing signs of life under Wayne Bennett, but the Warriors are far more settled and stronger up front. With Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in strong form, expect the Kiwi side to pull away late and win by three or more.
New Zealand Warriors -2.5
Penrith Panthers vs Parramatta Eels
Sunday, 1 June – 4:05pm AEST – CommBank Stadium, Sydney
Parramatta look confident after recent improvements and always lift for clashes with Penrith. Dylan Brown and Mitch Moses are combining well and could outshine a Panthers outfit that had five players in Origin. Penrith’s systems keep them competitive, but Parra’s recent form suggests they can strike here.
Parramatta Eels to win
Sydney Roosters vs Canberra Raiders
Sunday, 1 June – 6:15pm AEST – Allianz Stadium, Sydney
The Roosters produced a huge upset over Cronulla and are surging behind Mark Nawaqanitawase and Sandon Smith. The Raiders are gritty and well drilled but can be vulnerable when chasing points. Expect the Roosters to strike on the edges late.
Sydney Roosters to win
