NRL Judiciary: Milne cops two-game ban, DCE to contest charge
The Judiciary will be busy on Tuesday night when it goes through the charge sheet from round eight of the 2024 NRL Premiership.
South Sydney Rabbitohs winger Taane Milne was sin-binned and charged for a reckless diving tackle to the legs of Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster.
It is the latest in a long line of acts of ill-discipline from Milne, who has accepted a two-match ban with a early guilty plea.
Manly Sea Eagles pair Daly Cherry-Evans and Haumole Olakau’atu were charged by the match review committee with a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw on Eels second-rower Shaun Lane.
Olakau’atu has accepted the early guilty plea and will miss two matches, while Manly captain Cherry-Evans will dispute the grading of the charge.

Parramatta Eels winger Maika Sivo received his third charge for Dangerous Contact on the ground when tackling Sea Eagles centre Reuben Garrick, resulting in a $3000 fine.
NZ Warriors edge forward Jacob Laban, Titans star David Fifita, Dragons fullback Tyrell Sloan, and Dolphins veteran Kenny Bromwich have all been hit with Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charges.
Laban, Fifita, and Sloan have all entered early guilty pleas with Laban and Sloan receiving $1000 fines, while Fifita’s charge carries an $1800 penalty for a second offence.
Eels forward Ryan Matterson, Panthers stalwart Liam Martin, and Sharks second-rower Teig Wilton have all received Grade 1 charges for Careless High Contact.
Matterson and Henry have accepted $1000 fines with early guilty pleas, while the Cronulla Sharks and Wilton are yet to respond to the charge.
