NRL All Stars 2025 teams: Ponga named at fullback for Maori side
The 2025 NRL All Stars teams have been named for Saturday’s clash between the Indigenous and Maori sides at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta.
Newcastle Knights captain Kalyn Ponga lines up at fullback in his first game for the Maori All Stars since 2020.
Alongside the fullback will be the Warriors’ Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad at five-eighth and the Dolphins’ Kodi Nikorima at halfback.
In the forwards, Kiwi international James Fisher-Harris is the big name for the Maori side, while Royce Hunt and Leo Thompson also front up.
The Indigenous All Stars, seeking their third consecutive victory in this matchup, have named Gold Coast Titans pivot Jayden Campbell at five-eighth.
He will be joined in the halves by Niwhai Puru, with Dolphins star Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow getting the No.1 jersey.
Rugby league betting sites have the Maori All Stars as favourites heading into the sixth fixture between the two sides.
PlayUp is paying $1.58 for the New Zealand team to prevail, while the Indigenous All Stars are at $2.40 to win.
Plenty of points are expected over the course of the 80 minutes, with top sports betting apps setting the over/under market at 40.5 points for a $1.91 payout.
