NFL Week 3 preview, betting tips & multi selections
Week 3 of the NFL season has arrived, and with two rounds in the books, early-season trends are starting to take shape.
From Friday’s divisional battle between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins to a blockbuster Tuesday morning clash between two Super Bowl contenders, we’ve got every matchup covered with betting previews, key angles, and best bets for the week.
Miami Dolphins v Buffalo Bills
Friday, September 19 – 10:15am AEST – Highmark Stadium, Buffalo
The Bills have piled up 71 points in their two wins, showcasing Josh Allen and the offence in full flight. They now meet a Dolphins defense that has already leaked 66 points in two defeats. With both teams stacked with playmakers, Week 3 should open with a shootout.
Over 49.5 points
Green Bay Packers v Cleveland Browns
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Huntington Bank Field, Cleveland
Fresh off back-to-back wins over the Lions and Commanders, the Packers head to Cleveland to take on a Browns outfit still chasing their first win of the season. The addition of Micah Parsons has bolstered Green Bay’s defence, making them tough to break down, and with an eight-point head start, the visitors look well placed to cover the line.
Packers -8
Indianapolis Colts v Tennessee Titans
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Nissan Stadium, Nashville
The Colts have been the early surprise of the 2025–26 NFL season, with quarterback Daniel Jones steering a young roster to consecutive wins. The Titans have shown glimpses of improvement, but their shaky run defence remains an issue — giving Jones an excellent platform to keep the momentum rolling and extend Indianapolis’ unbeaten start.
Daniel Jones anytime touchdown
Pittsburgh Steelers v New England Patriots
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Gillette Stadium, Foxborough
The Patriots and Steelers square off at Foxborough with both teams sitting at 1–1. New England’s defence has already coughed up more than 600 passing yards in two games, and that sets the stage for Aaron Rodgers to exploit the secondary.
With his chemistry building quickly with DK Metcalf, expect the star wideout to find the end zone again.
DK Metcalf anytime touchdown
Cincinnati Bengals v Minnesota Vikings
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis
The Bengals and Vikings clash at U.S. Bank Stadium with both sides forced to turn to backup quarterbacks after Week 2 setbacks. Cincinnati’s offensive line has been shaky, and that’s a worrying sign against a Minnesota defence that thrives on pressure.
With home-field advantage and a disruptive unit, the Vikings look well positioned to cover by at least a field goal.
Vikings -2.5
Los Angeles Rams v Philadelphia Eagles
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
The Rams and Eagles both put perfect records on the line after impressive Week 2 wins. Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts has already punched in three touchdowns through two games, leaning on the near-unstoppable “tush push” that powered last season’s Super Bowl run.
Against the Rams’ front, expect that short-yardage weapon to keep delivering.
Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown
New York Jets v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Raymond Jones Stadium, Tampa
The Jets head to Tampa without starting quarterback Justin Fields, a major blow as they prepare to face the unbeaten Buccaneers. Tampa Bay are coming off a gritty comeback win over the Texans and carry plenty of momentum into Week 3.
With the Jets shorthanded under center, the home side looks a solid bet to cover the line.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7
Las Vegas Raiders v Washington Commanders
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Northwest Stadium, Landover
The Commanders aim to rebound against the Raiders, who also sit 1–1 after being outclassed by the Chargers on Monday night. Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels is questionable, and even if he takes the field, he’s unlikely to be fully fit.
That should slow both offences and point toward a low-scoring contest.
Under 44.5 points
Atlanta Falcons v Carolina Panthers
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte
The Panthers have stumbled out of the gate with two straight losses and now welcome a Falcons side brimming with confidence after Bijan Robinson racked up 168 scrimmage yards in a win over the Vikings. With Atlanta in rhythm and Carolina struggling, the Falcons are worthy road favourites and the smart play with the six-point line.
Atlanta Falcons -6
Houston Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars
Monday, September 22 – 3am AEST – EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville
The Jaguars and Texans square off in a pivotal AFC South clash after both made sluggish starts to the 2025 season. Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud has yet to find top gear, but with more reps to build timing and rhythm with his receivers, the Texans look a genuine chance to break through for their first win.
Houston Texans to win
Denver Broncos v Los Angeles Chargers
Monday, September 22 – 6:05am AEST – SoFi Stadium, Inglewood
Two of the league’s stronger defences collide at SoFi Stadium as the Chargers welcome the Broncos in an AFC West battle. Los Angeles are 2–0 thanks largely to their stingy defence, while Denver remain a tough unit to break down despite last week’s narrow loss to the Colts.
This matchup shapes as a grind, with points likely at a premium.
Under 46 points
New Orleans Saints v Seattle Seahawks
Monday, September 22 – 6:05am AEST – Lumen Field, Seattle
The Seahawks bounced back from their opening loss with a convincing win over the Steelers and now face a winless Saints side in Seattle. Running back Kenneth Walker rediscovered his spark in Week 2, piling up 118 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, and he should get ample chances to hit paydirt again against New Orleans.
Kenneth Walker anytime touchdown
Dallas Cowboys v Chicago Bears
Monday, September 22 – 6:25am AEST – Soldier Field, Chicago
Both the Cowboys and Bears have been leaky on defence, with their four combined games racking up a huge 245 total points. Chicago rookie Rome Odunze was a bright spot in last week’s heavy loss to the Lions, hauling in 128 yards and two touchdowns.
At +175 to score with top online bookmakers, he shapes as strong value.
Rome Odunze anytime touchdown
Arizona Cardinals v San Francisco 49ers
Monday, September 22 – 6:25am AEST – Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara
The 49ers and Cardinals square off in one of Week 3’s unbeaten matchups. Mac Jones has slotted in smoothly to keep San Francisco’s offence humming, while Arizona edged the Panthers to remain perfect.
Back at Levi’s Stadium, the 49ers look well placed to stay unbeaten with another strong showing.
San Francisco 49ers -2.5
Kansas City Chiefs v New York Giants
Monday, September 22 – 10:20am AEST – MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford
The Chiefs may be 0–2, but their losses came against the Chargers and Eagles — two of the league’s heavyweights. By contrast, the Giants impressed at times against Dallas yet still fell short in overtime, exposing frailties on defence.
Against a softer matchup, Kansas City should flex their muscle and notch a convincing first win.
Kansas City Chiefs -6.5
Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens
Tuesday, September 23 – 10:15am AEST – M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
The Ravens and Lions meet on Tuesday in Week 3’s marquee clash, with both sides eyeing a Super Bowl run. Lamar Jackson has opened the season in MVP-calibre form, throwing six touchdowns across two games, two of those to new veteran target DeAndre Hopkins.
As Jackson’s trusted red-zone option, Hopkins offers real value at +450 to score for the third game in a row.
DeAndre Hopkins anytime touchdown
