NBL Round 7 betting predictions
United vs Phoenix: Melbourne to win @ $1.41 with Sportsbet
Like a train with defective breaks, the Melbourne United boys have won four straight games and do not look like stopping. This will be the third Melbourne derby of the season, even though we are only seven weeks in. The head-to-head stands at 1-1 due to United’s poor start to the season, but now that they are playing naturally, it is hard to see them losing. The Long and Goulding combination works a charm and will lead United to another win.
Kings vs Hawks: Sydney -12 @ $1.90 with Sportsbet
LaMelo Ball could not have played a much better game than what he served up to the Cairns Taipans last week, when he filled the stat sheet with 24 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. The Kings are a completely different kettle of fish, however, and will not allow Ball to have his way. Sydney is the favourite to win the NBL Championship and the Hawks are tipped for least wins, so a one-sided affair is likely to unfold.
Wildcats vs Breakers: Perth to win @ $1.31 with Sportsbet
A disappointing loss to the Kings last round will leave the Wildcats wanting more, as they dropped from second to third on the ladder. The Breakers have been very competitive thus far, but Perth’s one-two guard combination of Bryce Cotton and Terrico White can be very hard to stop as one of the pair always has an impact. Cotton is coming off a 36-point performance, so watch out for his individual brilliance.
Phoenix vs 36ers: South East Melbourne to win @ $1.40 with Sportsbet
There has not been much talk about the Adelaide 36ers this season, but that doesn’t mean they are irrelevant. It will not be an easy match, but the South East Melbourne roster has what it takes to win this one at home. Both teams are coming off a short rest, but the Phoenix do not have to travel. The home court advantage can be overestimated at times, but this interstate trip will hurt the 36ers.
