NBL Round 10 betting tips, match predictions & best odds
The 2024/25 NBL season returns from international break with an exciting seven-game slate that kicks off on Thursday night. Below are BettingSite.com.au’s top picks for every game of Round 10.
Illawarra Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers
Thursday, November 28 – 7:30pm AEDT – WIN Entertainment Centre
Heading across the Tasman, the Breakers will be looking to clinch their fifth win in the space of six games. They enter as underdogs against the second-placed Hawks, who will be hoping for improvement after winning just one of their last three. Illawarra have the best offence, while New Zealand have the best defence, so this should be a thrilling start to Round 10.
New Zealand Breakers +4.5
Cairns Taipans vs Sydney Kings
Friday, November 29 – 6:30pm AEST – Cairns Convention Centre
On a run of eight straight losses, it has been a horrible season so far for the last-placed Taipans. While the Kings are on the verge of the finals spots, they’re 7-6 and have yet to impress. Despite losing their last three games on the road, Sydney should still be too strong for the struggling Cairns squad.
Sydney Kings -4.5
Perth Wildcats vs Brisbane Bullets
Friday, November 29 – 6:30pm AWST – RAC Arena
This matchup could have a major impact on the play-in picture. Brisbane’s away form has been a concern, with their only two wins coming against bottom-three teams. On the other hand, the Wildcats have alternated wins and losses in their last six games; however, given they have won their past four at home, Perth will be tough to beat.
Perth Wildcats -5.5
South East Melbourne Phoenix vs Illawarra Hawks
Saturday, November 30 – 5:30pm AEDT – John Cain Arena
After starting the season 0-5, the Phoenix have bounced back to win five of their last eight games. While Illawarra are much higher on the NBL ladder, they are coming off a short turnaround and could be forced to rotate their roster. The Hawks are slight favourites with online bookmakers, but in a clash between two of the highest-scoring sides in the NBL, an upset may be on the cards.
South East Melbourne Phoenix +1.5
Adelaide 36ers vs Tasmania JackJumpers
Saturday, November 30 – 7:30pm ACDT – Adelaide Entertainment Centre
While the JackJumpers are ninth on the NBL table, they are slowly turning their form around after two wins in a row. Despite their 1-6 away record, they face an excellent opportunity against an Adelaide side without star imports Montrezl Harrell and Kendric Davis. The 36ers have been the worst defensive team in the NBL this season, so expect them to struggle if their offence can’t cover the loss.
Tasmania JackJumpers -1.5
Melbourne United vs Sydney Kings
Sunday, December 1 – 2:30pm AEDT – John Cain Arena
On top of the league with three wins in hand, Melbourne United are clear favourites for the NBL title with top basketball betting sites. They have won six of their last seven games and should be confident of another good result as they welcome the inconsistent Kings. Sydney have a terrible road record and could struggle coming off a short turnaround.
Melbourne United -6.5
Perth Wildcats vs New Zealand Breakers
Sunday, December 1 – 1:30pm AWST – RAC Arena
In their second match of the weekend, the New Zealand Breakers face the longest away trip in the NBL as they head across to Perth. While the Wildcats are inconsistent, their home record is excellent. The Breakers have won the past two meetings between the teams, however, and with the best defensive record in the league, they will be hard to beat.
New Zealand Breakers -1.5
