Celtics vs. Raptors player exotics predictions

Starting off with the Celtics and Raptors match, the contest will be hot from the word go.

Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum both will need to be at their best to match the intensity of Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard.

The inclusion of Marc Gasol to the Raptors starting five has been a helpful addition, proving that he can become a weapon for the franchise’s championship bid.

With decent figures in all statistical categories since transitioning to the Raptors, Marc Gasol will have to quell Al Horford’s impact this Wednesday, something that few players in the league can do.

Some interesting exotics for the match include the individual player statistical markets:

Kyrie Irving Points Under:
Given the match-up against the veteran defender Kyle Lowry, Kyrie Irving will find it difficult to shoot the ball as often as he usually would. Irving’s teammates can score, so we think Kyrie will look to make the players around him better, rather than going for the buckets himself.

Kawhi Leonard three pointers made over:
Kawhi Leonard, surprisingly, has one of the best three point shots in the league. When guarded by Jayson Tatum and Marcus Morris, Kawhi will use his basketball IQ to get open shots from behind the arc, which will be easier when the second year player, Tatum, or the slower opponent, Morris, are defending.

Marc Gasol points over:
This is the match perfectly suited for the old Grizzlies Centre to finally become a Raptor. Given Al Horford will be undersized on defence, Gasol can use his height and cheeky techniques to wiggle his way through the paint, giving him a plethora of chances to score. His highest-scoring performance for the Raptors is only 16 to date, a number he can easily exceed against the Celtics.

Thunder vs. Nuggets player exotics predictions

When the Oklahoma City Thunder arrive in Denver, they will be prepared for a long, gruelling match.
The Nuggets have an exceptional bench that provides the team with many scoring and defensive options each night.

The likes of Isaiah Thomas and Monte Morris provide excellent guard options that can score, but then Mason Plumlee can fill the centre position when Nikola Jokic requires a rest.

Oklahoma doesn’t have the same depth and relies heavily on the starting duo of Paul George and Russell Westbrook.

It will be interesting to see if the dynamic duo can hold off the Nuggets starters long enough to win the match.

Russell Westbrook points over:
The explosive former MVP is playing with absolute freedom and ferocity. The athletic point guard has scored over 40-points in his past three outings and is looking to make it four against the Nuggets. Jamal Murray is still a younger guard for Denver and will find it extremely difficult to subdue the Oklahoma beast.

Paul Millsap rebounds over:
Sitting at power forward with the height of a short centre, Millsap has made his mark on the league with his tenacity in the paint and poise on offence. With Nikola Jokic on the floor, Steven Adams will need to prioritise the big ball handler, giving Millsap the next tallest Thunder match up, which will allow him to grab plenty of rebounds, especially against a team like OKC, who are not the best shooters in the league by any stretch of the imagination.

Jamal Murray three pointers made over:
With the spread of talent on the floor for the Nuggets, many players can find space, and are often used as the squad is filled from guard to centre with brilliant passers. With Jokic as a point guard option, Murray can play the shooter role, as he knows how to knock down a shot. Murray has previously made nine threes in a single match.
