Lloyd and Edmonds on successful road
Much-travelled Binalong Road is poised to win his first race for Toby Edmonds at Eagle Farm and continue the trainer’s outstanding run with jockey Jeff Lloyd.
Lloyd and Edmonds lived up to their new nickname of the “dynamic duo” when they got their 41st winner for the season with I Am The Sculptor at Doomben on Wednesday.
It took Lloyd to 90 metropolitan wins and 52 in front of second-placed Robbie Fradd in the Brisbane premiership.
Fradd resumes on Saturday after suspension but will be riding on a stay pending an appeal against a further suspension.
Lloyd and Edmonds will combine with Binalong Road (Open Hcp), Sylpheed (Three-Year-Old), Our Lady Mac (Class 6), and Raffinato (Benchmark 75).

Binalong Road won 11 races for NSW country trainer Mack Griffith but was transferred to Edmonds last month.
He will be having his third run for the Gold Coast trainer in the Open Hcp (1600m) on Saturday.
“They left him up here because he was getting weighted out of races in NSW. There are plenty of races for him in Brisbane,” Edmonds said.
Binalong Road has won three times at Doomben but is a maiden at Eagle Farm
“He has only had two starts there and has run third at the track at this distance. His run was sound when unplaced at Doomben last start and he is ready for 1600 metres now,” Edmonds said.
