Knights vs Tigers NRL betting preview
The Newcastle Knights must feel like they’ve been thrown down the river without a paddle.
Their season promised so much and they looked to have shown a ton of improvement, and then the injuries begin to mount.
Jayden Brailey, Connor Watson and Andrew McCullough have all had a crack at the cursed hooker position and will end the season in street clothes.
Chris Randall got the start last week and ended the game with concussion.
So thanks to the signing of Blake Green from the Warriors to play five-eighth, Kurt Mann will become the Knights’ fifth hooker for the season – something no other NRL club has had to contend with.
And despite all that disruption and losing several other key players, Newcastle are still the $1.60 favourites coming up against the Wests Tigers.

The Tigers have found themselves in a huge hole, and another loss could almost be the final nail in the coffin for their 2020 NRL season.
They have just one win from their last five games, and that was the 48-0 flogging of a Broncos outfit who gave up on national television.
Losses to Penrith and Parramatta can be excused, but to lay an egg against the Warriors in the fashion they did would have meant some tough conversations among the playing group.
The over/under line of 38.5 feels like it shouldn’t tip over the top, with the Knights still having some attacking issues and changing their spine dramatically on the fly.
The Tigers may be the $2.45 outsiders, but they have won their past few clashes in Newcastle in convincing fashion and may be worth a look for the upset.
The $3.60 for the Tigers 1-12 will attract some interest given how hard it is for the Knights to integrate a new spine within a week, and knowing how desperate Wests will be to stop their form slide.
Enari Tuala has been a nice find for the Knights and comes in at $13 for first tryscorer, while young sensation Starford To’a is paying $10 out on the right wing in his first start of 2020.
