The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 continues on Sunday night as India host New Zealand in a match between the two remaining undefeated teams.

India is the bookmaker favourite for this clash, priced at $1.44 to win, while the Kiwis are $2.75 outsiders, with both teams undefeated after three matches.

India continued their winning ways on Wednesday night as they comfortably beat Bangladesh by seven wickets.

Taking regular wickets throughout the innings, India were able to restrict Bangladesh to just 256, with two wickets each to Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja.

With the bat, it was Virat Kohli who led the way, scoring an unbeaten 103* to chase down the total in 41.3 overs.

After a fairly routine win, one concern for the Indians was an injury sustained by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who left the field after bowling just three balls.

If he is unable to play in the next game, look for India to bolster their batting line-up with Suryakumar Yadav or Ishan Kishan brought into the side.

The Black Caps also had an excellent win during the week as they beat Afghanistan by 149 runs. On a bowler-friendly pitch, New Zealand struggled early, sitting at 4-110 after 22 overs.

However, a big partnership between Tom Latham (68) and Glenn Phillips (71) carried the score to 288. Regular wickets throughout the Afghanistan innings meant that they were never really a chance of an upset as three wickets each from Mitch Santner and Lockie Ferguson saw them bowled out for just 139.

Far exceeding expectations at this tournament so far, the Black Caps now face their biggest challenge yet. But needing just two wins from their remaining five matches, this result shouldn’t dictate their 50-over World Cup campaign.

India v New Zealand betting tips and strategy

With home conditions on their side, it is hard to look past India, who are the favourites, in this match. Despite New Zealand showing excellent form so far, they haven’t faced any of the higher ranked teams since defeating England in the opener. As such, we are backing India to be too strong in this matchup at $1.44 with Ladbrokes.

As the two highest run scorers in the World Cup so far, it is hard to look past Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the top Indian run scorers for this match. We are going to back Indian captain Sharma, who has so far scored 265 runs this World Cup. At $4 he shows good value with online bookmakers.

For New Zealand it is hard to look past opener Devon Conway, who has been exceptional so far this World Cup. Back him in as the favourite at $4 with cricket betting sites.
