Four free punting tips for the Round 11 NRL multi of the week
HAS the NRL ever seen a set of results so contrasting in one week as we saw in round 10?
Three of the first four games of the round were decided by four points or less while the next four matches saw an average winning margin of 34.5.
If there was ever been a more polarising set of results in a single round of rugby league we would be very surprised.
The Brisbane Broncos took control at the head of affairs after their crushing win over Manly, and surprisingly the Sharks are the team that sit one spot below after their brutalisation of Newcastle.
Parramatta became salary cap compliant after a horror week of recriminations, but they could not get the points against South Sydney.
Parra went into the match-up against the Rabbitohs as hot favourites, but after failing to to get the win Sportsbet.com.au have moved the Eels out from $8.00 to make the finals to $13.00
The Eels face a tough match up against the Storm on Monday at Pirtek Stadium; they will need to pull something special out of the hat if they are to register their first set of legitimate points in 2016.
Unfortunately for us, our two multi winning streak came to an end after the Storm upset the Cowboys in Queensland.
However, round 11 gives us the perfect opportunity to bounce back and we have got the multi that should get us the money.
All odds this week are provided by Sportsbet.com.au, who continue to provide a fantastic inducement for those looking to open a new account.

Melbourne to beat Parramatta ($2.00)
Combined multi value: $5.35 @ Sportsbet.com.au
West Tigers vs. Newcastle
Saturday, May 12 from 3pm at Campbelltown Stadium, Campbelltown
The Tigers and the Knights kick off our multi on Saturday afternoon.
Both sides are looking to get back on the winner’s list after suffering demoralising losses.
The Tigers would have went into their match last week against the Bulldogs full of optimism, but they were blown off the park; losing by 32 points.
The Knights were embarrassed by the Sharks failing to score whilst conceding 62 points.
It bodes for a macabrely fascinating contest.
Newcastle’s record against the Tigers in recent times is terrific, having won the last three meetings between the two sides.
The Knights may have a trio of wins against the Tigers heading into Saturday, but we know better than to bank on four in a row; especially on these Knights.
An upset is unlikely here – Newcastle are a team bereft of confidence while the Tigers are still capable of making the finals.
Multi tip: West Tigers to win – $1.35
Penrith vs. Gold Coast
Sunday, May 23rd from 2pm at Pepper Stadium, Penrith
One of the most intriguing match ups takes place on Sunday afternoon as the Gold Coast Titans travel down to Penrith to take on the Panthers.
Not many gave the Panthers a chance of going over to New Zealand to beat the Warriors (other than us) but that is exactly what they did – extending their win streak to two.
Gold Coast snapped a huge loss streak after recording an inspired 20 point win over the Roosters on Monday night.
The traveling Titans have only won twice at Pepper Stadium in their history and we are not expecting them to make it three anytime soon.
We are backing the Panthers to make it three on the trot.
Multi tip: Penrith to win – $1.28
Canterbury vs. Sydney Roosters
Sunday, May 22nd from 4pm at ANZ Stadium, Newcastle
An interesting Sunday afternoon game awaits when the Sydney Roosters and the Canterbury Bulldogs clash at ANZ stadium.
The Roosters have won just once in the last month, which came against the hapless Knights two weeks ago.
They are in dire need for a win after only registering points in two matches this season.
The Bulldogs have flip-flopped in their results – alternating wins with losses over the last five weeks.
Can the Dogs go back-to-back for the first time since round 2? We believe so – they should have no trouble getting past the Roosters and they should bank the two points at generous odds.
Multi tip: Canterbury to win – $1.55
Parramatta vs. Melbourne
Monday, May 23rd from 7pm at Pirtek Stadium, Sydney
Can we call this one the Salary Cap Cup or is it too soon?
The Parramatta Eels and the Melbourne Storm round out the weekend of NRL action on Monday night at Pirtek Stadium.
The Storm were sensational against the Cowboys last weekend, winning the nail biting contest by a solitary point to leapfrog the reigning premiers into third position on the ladder.
The Eels were rocked by the departure of Nathan Peats and Junior Paulo in the wake of their salary cap scandal, and while they were able to compete for premiership points last Friday night against the Rabbitohs, they lost narrowly to remain anchored to the bottom of the ladder.
Can the Eels get themselves back into gear to make a late push towards and unlikely finals berth? Perhaps, but they will have to wait at least another week before they get their first points of 2016 as the Storm should be far too strong for them.
Multi tip: Melbourne to win – $2.00
