F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2024 racing odds & betting predictions

F1 Singapore GP betting preview

Returning from the most entertaining race this year, we head to one of the most anticipated races on the calendar, the Singapore Grand Prix for round 18 of the Formula 1 (F1) schedule.

It kicks off with Free Practice 1 at 3:30PM AEST on Friday, September 20, while the race is on at 10:00PM AEST Sunday, September 22.

One of the hottest races this year is the Singapore Grand Prix (GP), better known as “The night race”. Held at the Marina Bay Circuit, it is easily the hardest track for the drivers on the calendar, with extremely high temperatures and a tough street circuit.

Formula 1 Singapore GP race preview

McLaren managed to overtake Red Bull Racing in the Constructors Championship after an impressive win by the young Australian Oscar Piastri in the Azerbaijan GP.

While their is still a three-way battle for the Constructors Championship between Ferrari (425 points), Red Bull (456 points), and McLaren (476 points), McLaren looks to be the odds-on bookmaker favourite at -909.09 to claim the series, but with 2 competent drivers at Ferrari, the +1100 can’t be overlooked at PlayUp.

With the Singapore GP being another street circuit, we will see most teams opt for almost the exact same vehicle setup so expect a similar result from Baku GP to here.

Lets take a look at what this means for punters.

2024 Singapore GP Driver Odds

Following Baku, its no surprise to see Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc creep back to slightly shorter odds than recently opening; however, Lando Norris takes this weeks shortest odds.

Red Bulls Max Verstappen has seen another dive upward after a struggle in Baku and the leading betting sites expect the same result again.

2024 Singapore GP Betting Predictions

Lando Norris (McLaren) Win

With teammate Oscar Piastri getting the win last race, McLaren will now have the “Papaya Rules” in full effect and prioritise the British driver to allow the chance to win in the Drivers Championship. Norris was unfortunate to have been kicked out of Q1 with a yellow flag in his middle sector and will be gunning for pole position here.

Sergio Perez (Red Bull) Podium

Perez (Checo) was on track for a great return to form before his accident with Carlos Sainz and will be looking to do the same again. Great Value here at Neds, as this is another Checo-dominant track and we can see him excelling in the street circuit once again.

Alex Albon (Williams) Points Finish

In Baku, Albon was clearly getting faster on the street circuit, and with 4 Drag Reduction System (DRS) zones now at Marina Bay, the Williams driver will not have a hard time getting past the Aston Martin’s straight line speed and taking a spot in the top 10 for an even return at +100 with Bet365.
