F1 Australian Grand Prix 2025: full grid, odds & race predictions
The 2025 Australian Grand Prix main race is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2025, with the race set to start at 3pm AEDT, and after a typically sensational F1 qualifying and practice sessions, the grid positions are locked in.
Piastri and Norris head to head in Aus GP
McLaren began the season strongly, locking out the front row at Albert Park; however, Max Verstappen is looming close behind in P3.
The last time it rained during a Grand Prix was in Brazil, where Verstappen began from P17 and won the race in the wet, where Norris had also begun from pole in that outing and ran off the track on the race restart, leading to him losing all chances at the Drivers Constructors.
Hometown hero Oscar Piastri set himself up for a great Sunday starting in P2, with top online bookmakers pricing him up at $4.45.

Australia GP betting predictions after qualifying
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) to win
Verstappen was able to ring it all together in qualifying (quali), which has smashed his odds down to $2.88 with BetOnline after opening at $4. His last showing in the wet, youd be wrong not to have him at $2.88.
Max Verstappen to win
Carlos Sainz (Williams) podium finish
Rain expectd at Albert Park on race day means anything can happen. Williams have shown great pace with ALbon out qualifying both Ferrari’s and although Sainz needs to make up some ground i can see him and Williams coming up with a great plan for Sunday.
Carlos Sainz podium finish
Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) points finish
Although begining from P16 the Mercedes will have the pace during the race to make back those lost places and should have a good plan in the case of safety cars. His quali was disrupted by damage to the floor and as we saw from George Russell theres good pace there for Antonelli to make use of duirng the race.
Kimi Antonelli points finish
