EPL 2021/22 Matchweek 6 betting tips & top value bets
Things are starting to take shape in the 2021/22 English Premier League season, and there is plenty of value to be found in Matchweek 6. BettingSite’s soccer expert brings you his best bets for this weekend’s action, with odds from the top EPL betting sites for gamblers in United States.
Watford v Newcastle
Saturday, September 26 at 3pm BST
Many predicted Watford to go straight back down to The Championship come season’s end, but the way they have begun the new EPL campaign suggests they will be hanging around for a little while longer. They sit outside of the top 10 by one point but could find themselves in the top half by the end of the weekend. Coming off a 3-1 win away at Norwich, the Hornets now face a Newcastle side who have just two points to begin the season. Outside of Allan Saint-Maximin, the Magpies do not have too much firepower that will worry this Watford outfit. Xisco’s men have attacking weapons such as Ismalia Sarr, Joshua King and Emmanuel Dennis, and we expect that trio to be too hard to contain.
Watford to win
Southampton v Wolverhampton
Sunday, September 26 at 2pm BST
Wolverhampton have been disappointing to begin the 2021/22 EPL campaign with one win and four losses from their opening five matches. Southampton, on the other hand, have lost just once this season and have been locked in stalemates for the other four. Coming off consecutive 0-0 draws against West Ham and Manchester City, Southampton will be buoyed by the fact their defence can stand up against any team in the competition. Despite their troubles in attack (four goals in five matches), they are no easy beats. This looks like a draw, and another 0-0 for the Saints would be no shock.
Draw
Crystal Palace v Brighton
Monday, September 27 at 8pm BST
We were with Brighton last weekend, and they rewarded us with a 2-1 win over Leicester in front of their home crowd. They travel to Selhurst Park on Monday night to take on a Crystal Palace side who are coming off a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. Brighton have four wins from five matches to begin this season, and their first 60 minutes against Leicester were as good as they could have hoped for. The attacking trio of Neal Maupay, Danny Welbeck and Leandro Trossard will give the Seagulls plenty of chances in front of goal, and we expect them to be too good on the road.
Brighton to win
