Champions League Wednesday betting tips – Matchday 4
We are halfway through this year’s UEFA Champions League group stage, and while there have been some surprising results, the elite clubs of Europe have staked their claim in their respective sections. This Wednesday (AEDT), the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain will be in action, and we have UCL betting tips for their games and more.
Borussia Dortmund v Newcastle United
These two Group F clubs met two weeks ago, and it was Dortmund who emerged victorious, winning 1-0 away from home. That game was very evenly matched and could have gone either way. At home, Dortmund should be even better. Newcastle have been in a bit of a slump of late, and this looks like a very tough away fixture in which to find some form.
Borussia Dortmund to win
Shakhtar Donetsk v Barcelona
Ferran Torres has been a key contributor for Barcelona this season, and he has scored in consecutive UCL games. The 23-year-old attacker seems to have finally found a role where he can live up to his potential, and playing next to Robert Lewandowski, he will always have space to work with. Shakhtar have conceded seven goals in three UCL games, and Barcelona should pile it on here.
Ferran Torres anytime goalscorer
AC Milan v Paris Saint-Germain
After a great start in the French Ligue 1, Kylian Mbappe didn’t score for three straight games, but now the Paris Saint-Germain superstar has scored three goals in his last three matches. Last time out in the UCL, PSG easily beat AC Milan 3-0 in Paris. While this game in Italy will be more challenging for Luis Enrique’s men, PSG are the better side and Mbappe should have plenty of chances to score.
Kylian Mbappe anytime goalscorer
FC Porto v Royal Antwerp
Once again, FC Porto look primed to advance to the UCL knockout stage. These teams played two weeks ago, when Porto destroyed Antwerp in Belgium 4-1. We expect a similar result at home for the Portuguese giants. Antwerp are a solid team, but Porto are substantially more talented and have already demonstrated it. Take Porto against the spread in a game they should easily win.
Porto -1.5
