NRL: Bulldogs premiership winner Geoff Robinson passes away
Geoff Robinson, a figure in the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs community, has sadly passed away at 66.
Known for his hair and powerful presence on the field at Belmore Sports Ground, Robinson played 139 first-grade games for the Bulldogs between 1977 and 1986.
His legacy includes three grand final appearances, with premiership wins in 1980 and 1984.
Robinson was described as a kind and loyal individual by Bulldogs sponsor Arthur Laundy.
His former colleague Paul Langmack expressed gratitude for the lessons learned from Robinson.
Despite facing health challenges such as throat cancer in the years that caused him to lose weight significantly, Robinson remained resilient.
Robinson also had a stint playing for Halifax in England.
His passing is deeply felt within the Bulldogs community and throughout the rugby league world as they mourn the loss of a legend.
