Brisbane Bullets vs Adelaide 36ers NBL betting preview
Round five’s Saturday night clash in the NBL will feature the Brisbane Bullets on their home court at Nissan Arena against the Adelaide 36ers.
The 36ers have been one of the surprise packages of the season, as Josh Giddey and Isaac Humphries have already provided more wins than expected to the South Australian side.
Although the Bullets are just 2-3 after their first five clashes, they will still start as favourites against Adelaide, as these are the two bottom teams when it comes to outright odds at NBL betting sites.
You can get behind both of these sides at around $46 with online bookmakers to win the NBL title, even though both squads boast some of the best players in the league.
Brisbane Bullets vs Adelaide 36ers NBL betting predictions
Nathan Sobey to score 20+ points
Two of the top three scorers in the NBL play for the Bullets, being Nathan Sobey and his partner in crime, Victor Law. Sobey provides the X-factor on game day as his explosive athleticism belies his size at 188cm. You can depend on the Bullets guard to hit his shots and get to the rim, which has seen him average 25 points in his five NBL games this season.
Over 173.5 total points
Most NBL games are expected to go under the total points line to match the early-season trend, but the Bullets are the second-best offensive team in the NBL and the 36ers are no slouches either. Both these teams are stronger on the offensive end, which should lead to a relatively high-scoring affair.
Brisbane Bullets by 1-10 points
With Sobey and Law averaging 45+ points between them and the 36ers often struggling to defend opposition guards, the Bullets should utilise their stars to spread the floor and get a win on their home deck. This will be the first NBL game of the season where the 36ers will leave their home state, while the Bullets will play their sixth straight game at home.
