Bet365 launches Edit Bet feature for online multi wagers
BRITISH bookmaker Bet365 has unveiled a brand new betting feature that will allow customers to add, swap, or delete multi-bet selections.
Also available for single wagers, the Edit Bet function can be used to change or enhance selections both pre-game and in-play.
It is activated via the Bet365 Cash Out menu whenever early payouts are available.
Once a single or multi bet is edited, a new bet slip is issued with returns adjusted as per the current Cash Out price.
Punters can use the Edit Bet feature on any unsettled multis, even when other legs on the slip have already been settled.
This is just the latest move in Bet365’s bid to bring sports gamblers the most diverse range of desktop and mobile betting products.
It follows a similar play by UK bookie Ladbrokes, which partnered with Playtech and Openbet to release ‘Edit My Acca’ in May 2016.
Our thoughts on the Bet365 Edit Bet feature
This is cool.
By providing the option to change wagers both pre-match and live, Bet365 has opened up a whole world of possibilities for switched-on punters.
You can take advantage of in-play market fluctuations, get rid of a selection that’s not going your way, or bail out of a pick in the event of injuries, personnel changes and other such late mail.
But will it ever be available in Australia?
The feature’s live betting element makes it an instant red flag for gambling regulators in this country.
Online bookies aren’t allowed to offer in-play products for PC, tablet, or smartphone devices.
They have found ways around that rule in the past, but recent changes to the 2001 Interactive Gambling Act have made it even more difficult for web-only betting operators to promote such wares without breaking federal law.
So while this is great news for punters abroad, there’s not much for Aussie gamblers to see here as things stand.
Nevertheless, we can enjoy heaps of other industry-leading betting products, bonus features and online specials at Bet365.com.au – including a 100 per cent deposit match up to $200 for new customers.
