Australian Open Day 6 betting tips – Saturday 13/2/2021
Saturday’s Australian Open action is primed to be the most entertaining yet, with two of the best Australian talents on display and plenty of other enticing matchups. Here are our best bets for the men’s and women’s singles matches across day six, with top odds from Sportsbet.com.au.
Australian Open Day 6 men’s betting tips
Stefanos Tsitsipas $1.04 vs Mikael Ymer $9.50
In only his fifth-ever Grand Slam entry, Mikael Ymer is turning heads with his classy play. He knocked out world no.30 Hubert Hurkacz in the first round and now faces Stefanos Tsitsipas, who survived a five-set thriller with Thanasi Kokkinakis on Thursday. While Tsitsipas is the clear favourite with Australian Open bookmakers and should win, we think Ymer will give him a good contest and hold the line.

Fabio Fognini $5 vs Alex De Minaur $1.14
The winner of this match will more than likely go on to face Rafael Nadal in the fourth round, and Alex De Minaur looks ready for that challenge. The Aussie fan-favourite is playing the best tennis of his life and should deal with Fabio Fognini without too much stress. We do, however, think the Italian will take at least one set, as the world no.17 is no push over.
Alex De Minaur to win 3-1
Cameron Norrie $21 vs Rafael Nadal $1.004
Rafa Nadal is the unbackable favourite in this one, and with good reason. Even though Cameron Norrie has worked his way to no.69 in the men’s world rankings, Nadal should put him away without losing a set. The Spaniard won both his first two matches in less than two hours and under 27 total games.

Australian Open Day 6 women’s betting tips
Kaia Kanepi $1.40 vs Donna Vekic $2.75
Estonian veteran Kaia Kanepi has kicked off her 12th Australian Open with a pair of brilliant performances, recently knocking out reigning champ Sofia Kenin in straight sets. Although this is Donna Vekic’s ninth Australian Open, she has never made it past the third round, and we think she will struggle with the power of Kanepi.
Kaia Kanepi to win 2-1
Yulia Putintseva $3.25 vs Elina Svitolina $1.28
Both these talented women are ranked inside the top 30, making for an interesting matchup. Elina Svitolina was clinical in her win over the talented Coco Gauff, while Yulia Putintseva dropped a set in each of her first two games. We think Svitolina has showed fewer weaknesses in the first two rounds and will win this match without any blemishes.
Elina Svitolina to win 2-0
Ash Barty $1.28 vs Ekaterina Alexandrova $3.25
Ekaterina Alexandrova will never have a better opportunity than now to strike down the world no.1, as Ash Barty looks to have a slight hinderance in her left quad. With heavy strapping in the second round, Barty was clearly slowed down in her second set, having to win in a tie-breaker after taking the first 6-1. Even if Alexandrova loses, she will give Barty a run for her money this Saturday.
Ekaterina Alexandrova +4.5 games
