2025 NRL round one fixtures revealed: full schedule and odds

NRL release 2025 NRL fixture

The NRL has announced the opening fixtures for the 2025 NRL season, setting the stage for a thrilling start to the year.

All the action is set to begin in Las Vegas for the second year running, with the remaining games set for the following week.

The Sydney Roosters are set to take on the Brisbane Broncos squad in a marquee matchup on Thursday, March 6.

The game marks Michael Maguire’s debut as Broncos head coach, following his appointment after Kevin Walters’ departure at the end of 2024.

On Friday night, fans can look forward to a highly anticipated clash between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Dolphins, where Wayne Bennett will face his former assistant Kristian Woolf.

Woolf, now head coach of the Dolphins, previously worked under Bennett for two seasons before taking the reins in 2025.

Meanwhile, Benji Marshall’s revamped Wests Tigers will host the Newcastle Knights, featuring new recruits Jarome Luai, Jack Bird, and Royce Hunt.

Jason Ryles will face an uphill battle in his first outing as Parramatta Eels head coach as his team takes on the Minor Premiership winners the Melbourne Storm.

Ryles, a former assistant to Craig Bellamy, will attempt to break the Storm’s impeccable Round 1 record under Bellamy, who hasn’t lost an opener since taking charge in 2003.

The action continues on Saturday, March 8, with the Dragons and Bulldogs reigniting their rivalry, followed by the Manly Sea Eagles facing the North Queensland Cowboys.

Both matches are expected to draw significant attention, particularly as the Dragons and Bulldogs meet for the first time since last year’s controversial biting incident involving Kyle Flanagan and Stephen Crichton.

The complete 2025 NRL season schedule will be released in the coming weeks, but the initial fixtures already promise an exciting and drama-filled start to the new campaign.
