2021 Brownlow Medal exotics bets & #BYOBrownlow specials
The 2021 Brownlow Medal is shaping up to be one of the closest counts in recent history, but there is more to the annual event than just picking a winner. Here is a look at some of the more interesting Brownlow Medal betting markets on offer this year.
Leader After Round 5
Casting our memory back to the early portion of the 2021 AFL Premiership season, there was no stopping Taylor Walker’s goalkicking form. The former Adelaide Crows skipper started the year with five goals in an upset victory over the Geelong Cats, but then followed up his great work with consecutive bags of six majors in rounds two and three. Clayton Oliver ($6.50) could pose a threat to Tex, but we think the veteran spearhead gets the job done.

Brownlow Medal Boxed Pick4
The next market that caught our eye was the Brownlow Medal Boxed Pick4, which requires you to pick the top four vote-getters in any order. We think the top four is clear-cut this season, as Clayton Oliver, Jack Steele, Marcus Bontempelli and Ollie Wines were simply phenomenal in 2021. We cannot envision a fifth player breaking into this quartet, as these four champions were a class above the competition this year.

Jack Macrae to poll more votes than Travis Boak
The exotic Brownlow Medal bets are as simple as they sound, as this tip just needs Jack Macrae to outscore Travis Boak. Although Boak finished second in last season’s Brownlow tally, we are predicting a noticeable drop off from the Port Adelaide champion. Macrae will share some of his votes with Marcus Bontempelli, but we still see the ball-magnet polling more often than not.

Andrew Brayshaw, Zorko & Taranto to combine for 40+ votes
It was an excellent season for all three of these midfield stars, who should all poll well come Sunday. Dayne Zorko was at his explosive best in 2021, which saw the aggressive superstar win his fifth Merrett-Murray Medal for the Lions. Andrew Brayshaw and Tim Taranto were exceptional this season, both leading the disposal-count for their respective teams. Although none of these three stars will lead their team count, they should all combine for more than 40 votes.
40+ total votes for Andrew Brayshaw, Taranto & Zorko
Bontempelli, Oliver, Steele and Wines all to poll 28+ votes
We are predicting a big night from the four main Brownlow Medal favourites, who we think will all surpass the 28-vote mark this Sunday. These four elite midfielders played all 22 games of the home-and-away season, giving them maximum opportunity to poll votes each week. Expect a historic Brownlow Medal count this season, as these four superstars could break records off the back of their incredible 2021 campaigns.
