Melbourne Storm – $1.38 at Bet365
Newcastle Knights – $3.10
Two of the form teams in the competition go head-to-head on Saturday afternoon in a must-watch NRL clash at AAMI Park.
The Melbourne Storm have handled the State of Origin period better than their title rivals thus far and now sit two points clear at the top of the table.

They had no issues against the NZ Warriors last week and will take an unabridged squad into this weekend’s game with the Newcastle Knights.
Nathan Brown’s men are on a six-game winning streak after jumping Sydney and Souths either side of the bye round.
The 20-12 away win over the Rabbitohs is all the more impressive when you look at who didn’t suit up for the Knights.
Can Newcastle make it seven in a row with another big scalp?
Melbourne Storm team news – NRL Round 14
Storm coach Craig Bellamy decided to pick all his Origin stars for last week’s win over the Warriors. They got the job done without suffering any casualties, so there are no changes to the matchday squad for round 14.

Storm vs Knights tryscorer betting tips
Markets courtesy of Sportsbet.com.au
Josh Addo-Carr
First tryscorer $6.50
Anytime tryscorer $1.50
Two or more tries $3.60
While both Storm wingers are absolute jets, Addo-Carr has been far more prolific at the line this season. The NSW Origin has scored nine tries in as many NRL games, including a trio of braces.
Kalyn Ponga
First tryscorer $14
Anytime tryscorer $2.80
Two or more tries $13
Newcastle’s unbeaten run has coincided with seven tries in six games from their superstar fullback. Having sat out the win over Souths last week, Ponga should be well rested and raring to go.
Melbourne vs Newcastle stats and trends
- The Storm have won 14 of 17 NRL matches against Newcastle since 2010
- Melbourne lead the comp for points scored (311), tackle breaks (420) and kick return metres (2,680)
- The Knights have not won seven games in a row since 2002, when Andrew Johns won the Dally M Medal
- The Newcastle defence has effected six charge downs – two more than any other team
Storm vs Knights NRL Round 14 predictions
How do you split two teams in such rude form? All eyes will be on Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce, who could win back his NSW jersey with a big display at AAMI Park. Ponga is a huge inclusion, but Storm’s Origin stars pulled up fine last week and the league leaders should do enough to get the points at home.
Melbourne Storm by 1-12 points – $3.10 at Bet365
