Xtravagant to undergo bone scans
Xtravagant has arrived home in New Zealand and will undergo bone scans to determine if there are any issues to explain his disappointing Melbourne campaign.
The multiple Group One winner was unplaced in two Australian starts in the Group Two Bobbie Lewis and Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, prompting his owners to pull the pin on the rest of his spring.
Te Akau principal David Ellis told nz.racing.co while they hoped Xtravagant was 100 per cent, the scans would show if there was an explanation for his poor performances.
