Apprentice Lachlan King has been cleared of any fractures after a race fall at Flemington.
King was riding the Liam Howley-trained Belgravia in Saturday’s Brew Handicap (2600m) at Flemington and came off when the horse suffered a serious injury near the 500m and was later euthanised.
King was taken to Epworth Hospital and was complaining of elbow and knee soreness.
Scans later cleared him of fractures.
“Doctors at Epworth Hospital have advised that X-rays have cleared Lachlan King of any fractures. Just severe bruising,” the Victorian Jockeys’ Association said.
