What are the best legs for the Round 4 AFL multi of the week?

AFL multi
IT’S hard to believe we’re already a month into the AFL season, but here we are at round four and we’ve already had enough drama to last a full season.

There are three that remain undefeated and we’re anticipating that their hot start that Sydney, Gold Coast and North Melbourne have all enjoyed will continue. All three teams feature in this week’s multi.

All odds this week are provided by Sportsbet.com.au. The bookie is offering a matched first bet offer up to the value of $501.

The AFL Round 4 multi of the week:

St Kilda line bet +48.5 vs. Hawthorn ($1.92)

Gold Coast to beat Brisbane ($1.35)

Sydney to beat Adelaide ($1.87)

North Melbourne to beat Fremantle ($1.25)

Combined multi value: $6.05

Hawthorn vs. St Kilda

Saturday, April 16 from 2.15pm at Aurora Stadium, Tasmania

Reigning premiers Hawthorn host St Kilda down in Tasmania to kick off our multi this week. While we’re expecting the Hawks to win, the margin will not be as wide the market is predicting.

The Hawks are coming off their best win of the season to date – a come-from-behind win at Etihad Stadium last Sunday against the form team of the competition, the Western Bulldogs.

Typically these types of slugfests take it out of both sides, and we’re expecting the Hawks to be a bit flat after a fierce battle on an unforgiving playing surface.

The Hawks will also be without arguably their best player this season, Josh Gibson. He misses through a hamstring injury.

The Saints were fantastic last week in their strong victory over Collingwood, and despite having not defeated Hawthorn since 2009, they will go into Saturday’s match knowing they can match it with the big boys.

The line of 48.5 points looks very enticing and shapes as the perfect way to kick off our multi.

Multi leg: St Kilda line bet +48.5 points – $1.92

Brisbane vs. Gold Coast

Saturday, April 16 from 4.35pm at the GABBA, Brisbane

Saturday afternoon’s Q-Clash between the Lions and the Suns is the second leg of our multi, with Rodney Eade’s men looking to make it four in a row to start out season 2016.

The Gold Coast Suns are flying this season, boasting 50+ point drubbings of both Essendon and Carlton as well as a fantastic win on the road against Fremantle – the first time in the franchise’s history that they have taken away points from Perth.

The Lions have been hit hard by injury, with several of their key players, including captain Tom Rockliff and best and fairest winner Dayne Beams, missing.

In positive news, Daniel Rich is welcomed back into the line up for the Lions after overcoming a hamstring strain that kept him out of his side’s heavy defeat to Geelong.

Despite the inclusion of Rich, the task looks to be an incredibly difficult one for Brisbane.

This looks to be one of the better bets of the weekend and the perfect way to add a safe leg to our multi.

Multi tip: Gold Coast to win – $1.35

Adelaide vs. Sydney

Saturday, April 16 from 7.40pm at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

Sydney travel to Adelaide to clash with the Crows on Saturday night in a battle that looks to be the match of the round on paper.

The Crows dismantled the Tigers last week in Melbourne and were never truly challenged on their way to a 36-point win.

The Swans are flying on top of the ladder, and after defeating the Giants by 25 points in the battle of the bridge on the weekend, they are without question the most dangerous team in the league right now.

The Swans have dominated the Crows in recent times. Sydney has won four in a row against the Crows, with an averaging winning margin of 63 points across the last three matchups.

We expect the Swans to continue their reign of triumph over the Crows en route to their fourth win from four games to start the 2016 season.

Multi tip: Sydney Swans to win – $1.87

North Melbourne vs. Fremantle

Sunday, April 17 from 4.40pm at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

The undefeated North Melbourne host Fremantle on Sunday afternoon at Etihad Stadium to round out this week’s multi.

The Kangaroos have been fantastic so far this season, boasting terrific wins over Adelaide, Brisbane and the Demons across the opening three weeks of 2016.

Fremantle is winless this season, and with the news that ruckman Aaron Sandilands will miss at least two months of football with a punctured lung, Ross Lyon has a few personnel headaches heading into Sunday.

North Melbourne has won four of the last five Etihad Stadium meetings between the two sides and we are expecting that trend to continue on Sunday.

Multi tip: North Melbourne to win – $1.25
