Round eight for the 2024 NRL Premiership kicks off on ANZAC Day with the New Zealand Warriors hosting the last-placed Gold Coast Titans at Go Media Stadium in Auckland.

The Warriors will be looking for redemption in front of their home crowd having suffered an 18-point loss to the Dragons in Wollongong last weekend. Meanwhile, the Titans have lost their last five matches in a row and will be looking for some solace before taking on the Storm in round nine.

Gold Coast Titans coach Des Hasler has named an unchanged line-up following last week’s loss to the Sea Eagles on the Gold Coast.

NZ Warriors coach Andrew Webster has been forced to make one change to his starting side after Kurt Capewell suffered a throat injury in their loss to the Dragons. Jacob Laban has been promoted to the starting side, with Zyon Maiu’u added to the interchange. Dylan Walker returns from an ankle injury on the bench in place of Adam Pompey.

New Zealand Warriors v Gold Coast Titans betting predictions

The Warriors will be expected to start as strong favourites in New Zealand, given they beat the Titans in their only match of 2023 and the visitors are stuck in a losing rut. The Wahs have won two of their four matches in New Zealand by 12 points or less, along with their draw against the Sea Eagles. Should the Warriors’ trend of narrow home wins continue, the $2.95 price for the 1-12 margin offers great value.

The total points line is set at 45.5 — a number both sides have only eclipsed twice in their last 10 matches combined.
